I still think the best worst thing about the Annihilator beam is the fact that even if you could fight anything besides Ing with it, you wouldn't want to.  The only game with a more disappointing final item was...I dunno, the closest thing I'm getting is the TWW hookshot which sucked.  Though, I found the Spring Ball last in SM, and that was pretty shocking.

Yes!  Page breaks!  And no, "best worst" is exactly what I mean.

I think FFX's celestial weapons would give it a run for it's money. Damn they sucked summat else...

I kinda like the anihalator beam. With Light crystals/beacons, in instant kills the already stupid Ing (who usually wander into charged light zones anyway :P). It's self refilling, unlike the other two.

As for other good beams, let's not forget MP1's Plasma. Dammit I love that thing. And the phazon beam. What does the phazon beam do to normal enemies anyway, or other bosses? Has anyone AR'd it and found out?

It is amusing to watch the super beacons draw in the Warrior Ing, but most of the other enemies don't seem to be affected by it. Occasionally Inglets will run into it, but msot of the time they still don't... Some Pirates will run into it, but most won't... so that is also a limited effect. :(

To be honest, if they hadn't named the thing "Annhilator", people would probably like it more. Giving something a name like that creates expectations. :)
