And that was actually in the Zero Mission place. I think it pertains to all the games except the first, actually. And my post over there with the link to the wiki article should clear everything up.

Simple answer, in the Japanese version, kid's text is hiragana and katakana, and adults text is filled with kanji on top of the other two.
Nothing has changed in text, and there is no adult stuff in adult text.
