I changed computers, and now I am experiencing trouble. I uploaded all my games through a flash drive, and initially the games still opened in the new computer.  I already re-downloaded ZSNES, reinstalled, and tried to run; no luck. None of my ROMS can open in the emulator.

When it prompts me for the program to open .smc files, I select ZSNES, but it doesn't show up on the programs you can use to open the file. The only thing that I did differently was edit my hack a bit and then move the hack to a different folder. Is there some kind of specification ZSNES needs to open properly (ie in same folder)? I might go try a different emulator.

I'm not sure, this is probably easier to answer over at ZSNES' website anyway. Sounds like you need new drivers.
What is weird is that it worked when I first uploaded the stuff onto this new computer...after a few hours it doesn't work anymore.
I dont try to open the smc files that way.  i just start up ZSNES and then go to GAME, then LOAD.  All of the smc files that are located in the same folder as ZSNES are all there for me to select.
Ah, it works now...but I'm a little kid when it comes to change. If anyone finds a way to open it without opening zsnes every single time, please tell.

I can think of two solutions:

1) At the prompt you describe, choose "browse" then navigate to and select zsnes.exe.  Make sure that "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" is checked.

2) Re-install ZSNES (this should automatically associate .smc files with zsnes.exe).
I like Big Butts and I can not lie
Sometimes windows can be a little bitch and do something like that, try changing ZSNES's filename and selecting it from the "Open with" list again. Failing that, open My Computer and go into Tools - Folder Options into the File Types tab, find SMC (typing s m c on your keyboard will speed this up), go into Advanced, remove any "Actions" that are there, click New, and use Browse to find ZSNES and put in "%1" with the quotation marks after the filepath, then click OK, set it as default if it hasn't already done it, click OK again and you're done; optionally you can change the icon too
Sounds like you people are a lazy bunch. :-D  It only takes like 10 seconds to do load via ZSNES, less if you're fast.
