Is there a version that doesn't freeze up every time I try to use it?

Those are some of the bad happenings I come across.

I simply want to hack Metroid Fusion to make it much bigger and better (kinda like a Super Metroid Redesign sort of thing, just different) and this is the only thing standing in my way.

One time, I got close, but it froze khaaaan

Try using Double Helix. It's more Fusion-compatible than ZF ever was.

But... I think you misunderstood my purpose, to make Metroid Fusion totally different in terms of maps, and item placements. To make the enemies tougher by the end of the game. A small physics change will be placed, yes (single wall wall-jumping ftw) but to make Fusion like the way I expected it (I have maps down... most sectors are bigger than Brinstar in Super Metroid).

I hope Double Helix has the ability.

Double Helix's next release should have the ability, but the actual Fusion ROM itself might not be big enough. If it is, you'll almost certainly have to use free space (especially if you plan on adding new rooms), in which case Double Helix probably won't be able to read the rooms correctly. Good luck on your hack, though; PJBoy is making a Fusion hack with a lot of new features (such as, from what I understand, heat-seeking missiles, single-wall walljumping, ballsparking, et cetera).

Also, is there a tool or something like that to make Metroid Pause Screen maps around? I'd like to make one that actually looks like a map, due to my sloppiness with a pencil, and sometimes I've even ripped the page erasing a map... particularily Sector 5. Something tells me there isn't, and MS Paint is too tedious (and I'm not so patient with Art...) and annoying to do.

Um, DrewSeph didn't really put his copyright patent on his hack. He would have done so on the title screen (like Auximines with the SM Justin Bailey patch, someone needs to do that for Fusion), or else on his Readme (where he would put on the bottom Super Metroid Redesign is Copyrighted (C) 2005-2007 DrewSeph and Company). Really.

Do you have an SD Card Slot somewhere in your computer? If not, what's your phone model?

Edit: If you have a printer that's of this generation, there could be a spot for an SD card. I know Helwett Packard (HP) has those, I'm not sure of other brands, though.
