Bah, if I could, I would remake the game and add something to the ending. How long you took and the percent you got. I wonder how easy/hard a 100% Metroid 1 run would be...

Edit: Oh and yes, I did beat the game

I've beaten the game a few times -- the first time being when I was four.

Eat my hardcore youth!

Shocked

...Are you serious?

Yeah; I was way into videogames back then. It's crazy, too, because I also beat Mega Man VI with ease in those days, but now it's super hard for me.

Maybe it's nostalgia clouding my memory, but it definitely seems like that's the case.
I('d) like to watch (some MP3 runs)

Not too bad..takes a little less than an hour.

Yoshi, what I was talking about was from that theoretical low% run..main reason why save states would make it more possible is to only get Missile refills from Metroids so Mother Brain still has the same amount of damage done already.
When I was that young, I couldn't play video games with guns and stuff in them. But I did beat Mario Bros. when I was 4.
I'm ashamed to call myself a gamer. I never beat Mario Bros. Then again, I never tried. But the funny thing was, I beat Super Mario Bros. 3 when I was four. Strange.
I've been metroid twice.

once the weekend before zero mission came out, (metroid prime version)

then once about 2 weeks or so after zero mission came out. (Zero mission version)

it scared me how much stuff i missed the first time, but i really doubt that i'll be going back again anytime, its just not that fun to paly.

Dude, the last couple of levels on MBI were evil.
I'm working on a game...I tell you, I'm going to beat it!  I will!  I will!

How... existetential. What's it like?  Wink
Yes...anyone who has beaten it, tell me how you avoid the crappy beam, low health, bad aiming, and all that stuff until you get a bunch of energy tanks and the screw attack...also tell me how you get past the first missile upgrade without NARPAS SWORD...so I'm pathetic, sue me!

Work slow and steady, be careful, go to Ridely first, stop the dang pipe bad guys from forming by not picking up the powerups they leave behind.

Kraid first!

Well that's what I did on my 100%.
I haven't done Ridley yet. I don't have varia or screw attack either. I do have ice beam though.

I'm at Kraid now and I don't feel like going back. So I think I'll beat him first.
Right now I'm in Norfair with the Long Beam, Ice Beam, High Jump, 20 Missiles, Maru Mari, and Bombs.

I started playing it again today (in Prime), and I've just beaten Kraid (using my self-developed bombing technique). Got 75 Missiles (including those acquired from Kraid), 4 energy tanks, Varia Suit, High Jump, Maru Mari, Bombs and Long Beam. Heading for the wimp Ridley. And Ice Cream. And, of course, the oh-so-mighty Screw Attack!
Oh, I forgot to add that I have two Energy Tanks. :D
My recent File I have...

5 Energy Tanks
250 Missiles
Wave Beam... I need to get the Ice Beam though. Damn Metroids.
High Jump
Bombs... Duh.
Morph Ball... Duh.
...and whatever other Items I missed. Oh, I'm at Tourain.
So why do they have 8 Energy Tanks when you can only hold 6?
I('d) like to watch (some MP3 runs)
In case you missed 2.

And to annoy people trying for 100%, with that 1 stupid E-Tank in Norfair totally away from anything else.  :(

Yeah, Kraid first is probably faster, but Ridely first is a whole lot eaiser. Early Screw Attack, missles, and crud. Ridely's pathetic, and it seems like the enemies in Kraid do MORE damage than the ones in Ridely.

Bad thing is, I don't know where any of those things are. I absolutely refuse to take hints, locations, advice, etc. from any game that I have never beaten. It's just the way I am.

Defeated Ridley and reached Tourian yesterday. Six energy tanks, 250-or-something Missiles.

I had a little problems with the beams. I was only equipped with Long Beam when I took care of Kraid, and Ice Cream was the last item I ever got. I had completely forgotten the both locations ^__^
