Oh, it's that guy
heh, i know what you mean, i got a rom of it (deleted 13 hours after download), took ridley forever, but mother brain was a joke to me...(i didn't even get the spring ball Embarassed ...and i tried getting the plasma beam before draygon Embarassed ...then i realised...after tons of hard work...IT WAS FREAKING LOCKED!!!)

also, a hint in IWJ...dont hit the buttons too fast...once you get the hang of it...its a lot easiser (sp?)

Actually, the whole "24 hour" bit is a total myth propagated by rom sites. And yes, wall jumping is dang harder in Super.
A myth?  A MYTH!?!!?  I'm saved!!  WOOHOO!!!!  *whisper*  ive had my super metroid rom for more than a month!  :P  *end whisper*

If anyone tells the authorities I said that, however, I'll merely have to deny it.  :D

On topic, I thought the original was hardest, having played it on GC when i unlocked it in Prime.  That was hard 'cause there were too many buttons.  When i unlocked it on ZM, i could actually beat it!  The 30 start energy and the unchanging scenery really sucked.

One of the worst bits was if you used a password to get the best ending 'cuz you sucked too much to get it normally, (me) you start atop Tourian with all upgrades and missles, but 30 FREAKIN' ENERGY!!!!  Then you drop down and get instantly killed by a metroid 'cause it takes about 8 bombs to blow one off of you, not to mention that they just APPEAR!!!  AHHH!!!!  *dies*
Oh, it's that guy

Er... no they don't. Unless you're talking about when you die/leave the room.

I think he probably meant when you leave the room, 'cos in ZM they don't respawn if you leave the room, making the original much harder.
i was happy about the metroids respawning, u can cheaply kill that first one ur talking about by standing on the platform above it, facing it, and waiting till u can shoot it. 5 missles, and its gone. collect the super power up thingy it left, and continue. at the end, before the mother brain tunnel, kill all the respawning walls, then go back, and if u do it right u can kill 2 metroids at once with the same 5 missles, do this over and over till ur full, then go kill the mother brain and get out of there :D again, its really an easy game when u memorize patterns...oh, and for ridly, use the wave beam to shoot him through the floor *yes, in the lava* its actualy easier that way, because up above those little fire ball things he shoots makes him nearly impossible to hit, and they HURT
One shall stand, one shall ball.

That would probably be more fun than jumping back and forth to kill Rios, I hate doing that in MZM any% runs it gets tedious, and you don't get the enjoyment of destroying flying jellyfish.
I'll be back. Maybe...
Fusion, just because you lose the will to live after about the third Nav. Room, and I couldn't beat Hornoad the first time I played, because my health was drained to 1 by Adam, and I pressed the wrong button: instead of shooting it I jumped into it.

I think he meant that you're not allowed to download ROMs at all unless you own the original game. Use the Store Trial, guys.

Also, you have to make the ROM yourself, you can't download it. And the proper form is [quote="Quoter"], and that was my quote. :p
adam drained your health to one?! what...?
I would have to go with super here... simply because the tricks are harder to pull off (wall jumping, bomb jumping, shine sparking hurts you).
Metroid would have to be the hardest. I pretty much agree with everything thats been said about it so far. Yet we still love it...why?..
metroid 1 for me, i find it so difficult with the 30 starting health, but the main problem is the enemies RARELY leave power ups.

i can go up the whole first column in brinstar and down again (heading to the missiles) and get about 1 maybe 2 energy orbs. Theyre what, 5 points each? and i get hit for about 20-30 odd points just getting to the missiles  Rolling Eyes

last time i played it i got all the way to the first energy tank with 1 health left and jumped JUST too soon into it and got killed by a zoomer, boy was i frustrated =)

Also, i found the wall jumping in super easy, zero and fusion were much harder Shocked , but bomb jumping is definately easier in zero
actually you are allowed to have roms as backups...

and who has time to raid every home and ask "hey do you have that as a bought one too?"

so that would mean they are illegal if you don't own the real version, but nobody ever comes to your homes and asks if you have it...lol

meaning anybody can use them, spreading them also isn't legal if you tell your site's roms are for backup purposes and tell that nobody musn't download them (LOL)

so there...mwhahaha.
______
back to the topic:

my cousin ripped his metroid 1 manual apart a long time ago (well when 8bit was new console) and said that he doesn't need it.

now guess what he said when I played zero mission?
he pointed a room on my map and said that in 8bit there was mother brain so it's prolly there...

he actually remembers almost the whole map Shocked

now I've played it on 8bit but never played it very far... I often dropped to some place where you need icebeam and I only had wave beam... you had to go change weapons with chozo statues sigh...in another words: it was a pain to climb such areas without a beam that was meant to be used there.

but I gotta say fusion was hardest... I saved state all the time, I couldn't have finished it using carditge ever, maybe becose only things I know about using shine spark is how to get her to glow....then i'l just press 1 time down so sshe shines much and tap all buttons like a maniac  Embarassed

I mean it was never needed really so I never learned it...
