no, your not the only one...  like the NES metroid too, just not as well as super... There are a lot of people that really don't like fusion. Whats wrong with Fusion? Yeah, its linear, but it still has replay value. And it is totaly original; as in not based off of another metroid game. But Ridly could have more of a monster-ish screech... He sounds like a little -- well anyway... yeah.

Okay, I lied, I guess I can choose now. Super, Prime, and Echoes are all the top tier, with very little difference between them, but Prime wins it for me, because Super has retarded controls and Echoes lacks a bit of the charm of the original.

Because it was a revolutionary title for the Metroid series; it had a lot of secrets to it; it was challenging, but fun, and it had creativity that a lot of games other games don't have.
If you haven't played it, definitely do so!

It's only my second favourite though, after Prime I.
