I've seen it mentioned but I can't find any information about it anywhere I look. I think it might be to do with the Dark Beam, but I don't know for sure, and I don't know anything else about it. Can anyone enlighten me, please?

Cheers,

Matt
Thread title:
Sometimes emperor ing 3 gets healed when he is actually supposed to die. It happened to me a few times (even twice in one battle). I don't know what causes this but it probably doesn't have anything to do with the dark beam since I screw attacked him.
I never posted it here though I said I would, so...

EI3 has a bug that causes him to be healed from Screw Attack damage only.  If you use SA on him while his heart is light or dark, then damage his heart before it can change back to red, the damage caused by Screw Attack will be reversed.  Any damage done prior to the last color change, and any beam damage done in its current state, will remain.

This was big mystery for me long time ago.

Yeah luckily i learn avoid this when i beat my low-% hard mode run.

Sometimes last Dark Samus take more energy too. I don,t know how this is possible avoid. I hate this when boss have last energy and he shots last phazon rains and when i shot my phazon charge shot back boss don,t died but he get some energy back. Luckily this is not very common.

But yeah Empy energy glitch is easy avoid. Just what Master Zed already said Wink
my umbrella goes directly to Bankai
i had figured that out some time ago, so it's better to use SA only when fighting him.

the DS4 thing is weird. sometimes it recovers energy and sometimes it loses it when you shoot it when it is about to descend to ground and attack.

This happened to me in my test "201%" run.  Screw Attack doesn't even cause it.  It seems to happen when he is facing a wall.  I never SA'ed him the whole battle, so Screw is not to blame.

There's my proof.  If there's an additional variant, I'd like to know more about it, but "It seems to happen when he is facing a wall" doesn't give me, well, anything to go on.
