I've sent him an e-mail telling him to get the next segments up about 4 months ago, and I sent him a PM about a half a month ago, and he hasen't anwsered to any of them. I also haven't seen him on in about a year. Does anybody know what happened to him?
Thread title:

Some people said that Nintendo were bad or something, so he stormed out of the forum.  My memory's not clear, but that's the basic idea.  He didn't have much of an intention of finishing the run anyway; he always said the last few segments would be unexciting, so he wanted to leave it in its perfection, or summat like that...

If you'd really like to know, go here. However, that topic was LOCKED, so any further discussion of that topic will be deleted on sight.
Oh, but does anybody know his time, because I wanted to see if he tottaly pwned the WR. Mr. Green

Nate recently said they calculated he'd get 00:50, I think.
Oh,:50, that beats WDs :53 which I think is the WR.
red chamber dream
No, WD has gotten a :50 as well.
I mean in 1%.
red chamber dream
Oh, then yeah, I do believe it's the WR.
keep in mind that the run was never intended to be a speed run (not even before it was started), and decisions were made accordingly. as toozin said, that kind of raw speed (0:50 was once thought to be a barrier no human could cross) is merely a side effect of his brilliance.
I'll be back. Maybe...
And, of course, practising for long periods of time using save states, and trying segments hundreds of times until the randomness worked in his favour.
no different from a run on the console, actually.

well, except for the whole massive slowdown thing.
Time bomb set get out fast!

If you phrased it anything like that, you guaranteed he wouldn't answer.  Sess does this stuff for free in his spare time -- we don't get to "tell him" to do anything.  And while some people might let that attitude slide coming from a fan, somehow I doubt that Sess would.  He's quick to anger.

He's also quick to shinespark, but that's not really the point.
meh, a sess fanboy, though? he told me he really digged the fanmail ... and iirc it was the only reason he came back to do meltdown.

Obviously, if anyone would pay me to play Prime I would be all over it *wink*

Me too...although I can't guarantee I'd be worth the money.

Had something bigger in mind ;)
One shall stand, one shall ball.
Hiring kip to pose as you and do the run for you?
no, silly ... trh is better than kip, remember? ;P
One shall stand, one shall ball.
Eh, I keep forgetting...
TRH is only better at running away quickly. Oh wait...

Har har.
I dunno. he left because of a short little flame war? WTF? that just seems pretty weak. seriously, wy couldn't they jsut find a way to make up? an argument with someone you've never even met seems like a pretty bad reason to quit doing something you like to do.

He had his reasons, and what's done is done.
