Were'd it go?

One time when I was fighting the SA-X, after it became big, it jumped in the air but it didnt come down. :? I could hear it, but no matter what i did, i still couldnt find it. Anyone know how it happened?

Somebody could try to figure it out. I'd be like the Imago Frozen thing. BTW i think i remember shooting it as it went up. Hard to remember since it was the last time i played Fusion which was like 5 months ago.

Dude! What brought that on? darkmagic didn't know whether this was a new bug or one we were familiar with. If he'd posted that the SA-X had been mysteriously invincible in its second form, we'd have said, "Yeah, we know about that." Is it unreasonable to ask in this case just because the answer is no?

I may be new, but i dont think thats how mods should act...how is he to know if we know how it happened or not if theres nothing about it on the site or in the forums? Its what these forums are here for, and he has every right to ask what going on.
Also, did you try jumping up to see if he was stuck on one of the platforms above you? It could be your shot stopped him short of coming back down.

was anything else weird in the game when it happened? in know it was quite a while ago, but...if you can remember it, that would potentially help.

and of course, there are totally random bugs. things that come up for seemingly no reason. otherwise, it's not too important, just reset and play on. unless it was at the end of an 0:49 any% single segment run...

And Yoshi gave his response, which made the very good point that we really couldn't know how it happened. So I think this is more of a problem of question phrasing than anythnig else. A better question would be to ask if anyone was familiar with this glitch....

I looked every were in the room shot every were, did every thing, nothing. I was just wondering if anyone else had had this happen to them. What is this about invincible SA-X?

I believe its when the glitch occurs when, nothing will damage it. Its like you shoot it with somthing else (missiles, pbomb.) and if you try to shoot it again, nothing makes contact. Forcing a reset. <crys>

My best bet is if the sa-x somehow leaps back into the missile crumble wall (the one thats ----> )

Hadn't thought of that. If he can jump through the platform right above the recharge room door, of course he can get back there. Again with my first question, did you look up there?
