well, i'd say that the dpad is an exception to the rule. also, it's probably extremely hard for an average player to get used to using (and thinking of) the four dpad directions as individual keys. therefore, i really don't think the average player doing average things is going to think keyboard control is rawk.
Yeah, same here. I was like "aack teh uber zo0merz are pwning me ooh noes" then i decided to use my GBP, then my Wavebird sucked, so i used my teh GBA to G3 hookup cord thingie.
heh, when the rom came out, I played on easy with a keyboard and died on the Tourian escape. and yeah, you get five minutes. I couldn't get out of the first room. I positively suck at metroid with a keyboard. my computer is slow so it was laggy too, but damn, do I suck with a keyboard.
I actually prefer the keyboard now to a tradditional dpad. I also got quite used to using my left hand for buttons, and right hand for controlling. Only problem is the keyboard issue of not being able to press a ton of buttons at one time.
emulators don't copy anything that's protected by copyright (law that controls who is allowed to copy what). they're new creations by talented programmers. roms are just copies of games.
