Well, it's actually the official release, but I've always wondered why people put "official" in the subject. :-s

Since it's my first hack and my first experience with SMILE, I didn't want it to be ambitious. But hell, it's gonna be a (hopefully) nice distraction while we wait for the big hacks.

I'd like to think of it as a cross between Gravy, Cliffhanger, and Impossible, but not nearly as hard as the last two.

So let me know of any problems with the hack, and enjoy.

Oh, it's for Unheadered ROMs.

Skills Needed:
-Lava and Acid Navigation.
-Intermediate Morph Ball Skills.
-Traversing Maridia Gravity-less.
-Wall Jump-to-Morph Ball.
-Fast Reaction Speed (Lava rises faaast...)
-Preparation (Once you're in some places, you're not going anywhere until the boss is dead).

Los Elites
1.aigamerDS - 58% 2:01
2.Sturmvogel Prime - 81% 4:39 (Animals saved)
3.Xaggoth - 56% 3:17
4.Anima Zero - 81% 3:04 (Animals Saved)
5.Opium - 77% 5:09
6.CaptainCanada - 76% 3:18
7.petrie911 - 62% 5:55
8.
9.
10.

Thanks to everyone in the SMILE help thread who assisted me when I had problems.  :-D

Edit: Version 2.0 up.

Cool! I'll try this. Unheadered patch make things so easy.

Edit: Dude, how many missiles do you need to open that pink door in Brinstar? How did you change the definition for the pink door? Mine always crashed whenever I save definition for doors.

25 missiles, and I have no idea, really. A tip from...I think it was Acheron...let me know that saving the definition at 19 missiles somehow saved it at 25.

Sometimes when I try to change the definition I get an error message, most of the time I don't.

Is it the door to Pink Brinstar? Because that's not supposed to happen...

Not all pink doors require 25 missiles. The pink door that lead to missile refill station require 25 missiles while other just need 5 missiles.

Edit:
I have just beat Kraid and I got space jump as a reward.

Okay, then yeah, It's working like it's supposed to.

Edit: That's when the game really picks up.

Aw man! Norfair has 25 missiles pink door there too.

Edit: While I'm playing your hack, why not play my hack too since it gets so lone some?

You're gonna need to open that now.

I found the place where you can get stuck forever. In red brinstar where you find the elevator and place where you can find the power bomb, all the door will get locked up with super missile and power bomb. I think you should fix that.

Edit: Woot! I found the early
varia suit!

That's supposed to happen. You're not supposed to enter that place until you have the ice beam and super missiles.
While getting permastuck spomeplace in a hack might be realistic to a real adventure, it really puts a downer on the gameplay. A better way would be to make it impossible to get to without the items you want required, or to at least make it escapeable.

To tell the truth, I didn't think it was possible to get up there through the way I made it without the ice beam. I even tested it. I guess there are people who can wall-jump faster than I can.

Okay, the new version is up, anyhow.

It not supposed to happen? But I got them before I got ice beam or super missiles.

In my hack, it tried to make it as much escapeble as possible so you wouldn't get stuck forever but still make the game very hard.

How'd you get in there?
Where do I go after speed booster?

everything seems to be blocked by powerbombs, I'm hoping it isn't this speedbooster puzzle just outside of wrecked ship

The only item I need is
space jump
but it is very difficult to get there but I still made it.

Edit:
Now I got speed booster after phantoon. Am I suppose to get varia suit with speed booster? Too bad that I already got one.

Go to the mockball room in Brinstar. You'll need to use it in there.

Nope. That sequence break you thought you did was normal item progression, but I suppose if you're quick, then you can run through Norfair to Crocomire and get the Varia Suit after Speed Booster.

Mwahahahahaha!
Oh my jesus. When will you people REALIZE....THAT....SUPER....METROID....IS....IN....HEEEEEEEEEEXXXXXXXXXXXXXX!!!??

(Is anyone else getting more bitter the longer they post?)
Maridia without gravity is frustrating enough, especially since I went through wrecked ship, but now I'll have to leave and do it again?  Gaaaaaaaah... nuts to finishing this today.

I came across the wave beam gate in the snail climbing room

Mwahahahahaha!

At least, I also got the early wave beam too by doing wrong side gate glitch.

Edit: Yes! I have made it to Lower Norfair without even visit Maridia. I also got the early screw attack too.

Would you believe that that's what I intended? extra_smug

Mwahahaha! Hoorah to fake sequence breaks!

You..... did this on purpose?!?!

Edit:
I have just beat Ridley and I got spring ball as a reward. Damn, that ninja pirate cost me a lot of missiles and Ridley takes a long time since I only have charge, ice and wave beam.
red chamber dream
Either that or he's full of shit. :P
