I highly doubt that this would happen, but it would have seemed logical if it was possible to unlock any bonus features in Echoes.  Link Corruption with Hunters, via the wireless DS-Wii connection.  Complete Corruption, and you get to play Super Metroid using the Wiimote and Nunchuk.  Complete Hunters, and you can play through Corruption as any of the 6 hunters (of course this would only be in appearance).  Any other ideas?

If Super Metroid was available in MP3, they'd never sell it on Virtual Console, and Nintendo already confirmed the hunters will not be in Corruption.
Not saying those are bad ideas, but they'll never happen. Rolling Eyes
What I mean is that the Wiimote featureswould be somehow integrated into the gameplay.  That would present problems for virtual console though.  Maybe you could unlock it after beating MP3, but still have to buy it?

Didn't stop N from trying to sell us Metroid 1 three times and you can bet it will hit VC too.
yeah, the original, the gba re-release, and zero mission. But isn't metroid 1 already on VC?

-edit- Correction, it isn't on VC yet, but he's right, you can be sure it will be. I want super metroid on it though. Just had an interesting thought, would metroid games played on the VC be eligible for official speedruns?
It would depend on how faithfully emulated they were.
I'm betting that Nintendo won't release Super Metroid on the VC until the same week as Corruption comes out at the earliest. It would be the perfect advertising for Super in my opinion.

Ready and willing.
Perfect for both really. Yay synergy.
my umbrella goes directly to Bankai
isn't SM coming out for VC on the 20th?

also, re-release is not the same as remake. for me, MZM made M1 playable and i would count it as a different game since i still refuse to play M1 in it's NES state. i still haven't purchased that game a single time since the only copies i have are the one in mp1 and the one in MZM.
