i got the USA version of the rom and the corresponding Visualboy Advance version (1.6a) for the VMUs, but i still cant watch them.

"save game is using the BIOS file"

i got a BIOS file from http://www.vgfreak.com/consoles/gba.htm, enabled it and everything, but i still can't watch the run. the same error message above continues to pop up.

what am i missing or doing wrong??

you'll need to restart the emulator, or at least reload the rom after enabling the bios.
