updating my music archive thingy tonight, Seth and I set something up so that he'll post it on EqD tomorrow. Right now it's 0.99GB lol. I added about 30 or so songs since Monday since a lot of people gave me links to some that I didn't have yet.

I'm gonna set it up so there's three downloads. A torrent, the archive, and an update pack. The update pack has only the songs that were just added in the past week. the update pack will be considerably smaller and it'll make it a lot easier I think.

lol, my mom bought me a Rarity for my birthday. She usually doesn't get me anything since she pays for my party and food, but she thought it would be a funny gift.

I don't think she expected me to actually really like it. She bought my other little sister a pinkie pie since she was the only one now who didn't have a pony. The only ponies this household is missing is a Twilight and Rainbow Dash, but I plan to change that next weekend.

Rarity came with a saddle and a comb... and a bird. Twilight comes with a cat, and they gave the bird to Rarity. ugh.

I finally manned up and took Rarity out of her plastic cage. I didn't want to loose all the random shit she comes with (saddle, bird, etc) so I made sure to very very carefully take the package apart so that only Rarity came out.

her hair is still taped together, gonna try to find some Rarity style-guides before I attempt anything.

I think my mom is enjoying making fun of me now. 80% of the reason why she bought Rarity for me was to see my (apparently hilarious) gleeful reaction. After realizing this, I decided to play it cool and put her package in my box and she was like "Aren't you going to take it out and play with it?" and I was like "mmm... nah, I wanna keep her in her package". I could tell she was disappointed that she didn't get to make fun of me some more. Hopefully she won't notice me making Rarity's hair look nice.

ack, I forgot to do the whole washing and conditioning part before wrapping it up. I wrapped it up properly, but the hair got really messed up looking since it wasn't cleaned and conditioned before hand.


Ah well, there's no limits for trying again. Gonna go take a shower, I guess it'd be easy to just do it then. (goddam I'm so lame, where has my life gone styling ponies in the shower? god just kill me now- oh wait, it's May 21st, rapture is coming anyway)

Alright, out of the shower now. I noticed a huge difference once some shampoo and conditioner had gone through her hair, made it muuuuch easier to style correctly. Having continuous water running over it also made it much easier (and kinda fun, shoot me now). I was able to wrap and position her hair a lot better, and she's currently drying in front of the bathroom window (I really hope my grandma doesn't notice, or at least if she does I hope she doesn't touch it because it will ruin everything if the pen falls out). She has to dry for a day so I'll post pictures tomorrow. I'm worried about any water that might have gotten inside of her though, because that'd suck to have a moldy rarity.

In the end I really wish I could have started with someone a bit more simple like AJ or RD to style. If Rarity's hair is anything below fantastic I'm sure I'd never hear the end of it. AJ and RD would probably be fine with whatever though. (yes I'm being really lame right now, deal w/ it)

well, if worse comes to worse, I'll just make her hair totally straight and going right to the floor, and pretend like she's in that scene where she gets dared to stand in the rain.


Also this comic makes me laugh, and it's Rarity related. Gonna head to bed now, dunno how I managed to waste an hour in the shower (good thing I don't have to pay for hot water just yet)

god I'm so dumb, I accidentally wrapped the lower half of her mane the wrong way around her neck, so then it goes BEHIND her head instead of coming around to the front.

now I need to do the whole thing again. Her tail and upper half of her mane looks perfect, WEH

god this is frustrating. I fix one thing, then I find out I totally messed up something else, and then what used to be a perfect-looking Rarity tail is now curled up looking funny.
