Diablo 3 is dead to me. Blizzard really hammered the stupid shit until I lost all interest in it. I'm not even going to bother pirating it.

Also, I really don't think that's real - it's most likely placeholder names, making fun of the people who said that they had made D3 too bright, colourful and cartoony.

so a super fucking hi res picture was posted from the discovery website or whatever. It's from season 2, episode 1. Going to hide it because I guess it might be spoilers or something, but also because it's huge (there hasn't been a single urmom joke since ark and bios left)

Check out those stained glass windows. I have a theory but I'll hide it just in case.

also god, as soon as Episode 1 finishes its going to be hell waiting for episode 2, moreso than waiting an entire season for episode 1. You just KNOW they're going to end it in the most cliff-hangy way possible Just like episode 1 with season 1.

It will actually probably take until episode 4 before it's truly just "slice of life" again. Episode 3 felt kinda weird in the first season since it was technically part of that arc or whatever.

in the 5 episode DVD set things they're doing right now it comes with the first two, the gala ticket one, the dress making one, and then the last episode. I guess that's the only story arc order. It'll be interesting to see if they do something similar in season 2

I guess the pilot still counts for giving a reason for the "Dear Princess Celestia" thing and a very basic character introduction but that's about all I can come up with. The three episodes involving the gala was really as close to a story arc as the show got and I hope it stays that way.

I wonder now then what kind of little story arc like that they'll have this time. They wouldn't be able to use the same dress and Gala idea without it feeling weird as hell, but I also can't really think of anything else. Perhaps they'd be in charge of certain sections of the Gala this time around or something, I don't know. Man anticipation is eating away at my candy-cane skull.

I've never actually followed a show as it was airing up until FiM so this is a whole new thing for me and it's torture.

I don't really think it needs any kind of season long arc, even one as limited in scale as the gala. Episode long arcs are plenty and probably fit the show better anyway.

On the other hand I could just be a grumpy old man and hate change!

oh nono I totally agree with you that there shouldn't be a season long arc. I think they nailed it perfectly in season 1 with those three episodes being kinda-linked but at the same time not dependent on each other at all. Just having three or four interacting episodes like that would be great. Why fix what isn't broken, etc.

Also it looks like the singing VA for Pinkie Pie semi-confirmed a third season of FiM. In an interview they did with her they talked about what a "famous opera singer" does in her free time, and they mentioned that she's now working on her third voice acting season for the new My Little Pony show.

One of three things needs to happen in Season 2 when Trixie shows up again.

A: Her and Twilight have an awesome magic battle.
B: They somehow realize that they're sisters (Trixie's cutie mark is very similar to Twilight's father's cutie mark, and there's a few other things I could list that make it possible)
C: Trixie comes back and ends up helping them out and turns nice (with her and Twilight becoming good friends, Twixie fans every rejoice)
D: ALL OF THE ABOVE. Her and twilight have a battle, their parents show up and they realize they're related, and then they becoming total bros and stuff.
