I was wondering what the deadliest blow in all of metroid is.  By 'deadliest blow', I mean that which inflicts the highest amount of damage on Samus.  The first swipe of the omega metroid at the end of fusion is probably it, since it takes you down to 1 even if you have 20 full tanks, but is there something out there stronger that would take you to zero if you had max energy?  The cannon in phazon mines that you use to blast through the walls at the top of the artifact of warrior room kills you with one hit, but I haven't been hit by it when I have max energy to see if it indeed kills you with one hit regardless.  Can anyone else think of what the deadliest blow might be?
(this is the kind of shit I think about, sadly enough)

Wtf?  I have never seen that turret come down before. What is up with that?

And was that sarcasm?  Because it didn't seem to be doing much damage at all.

The turret will come down if you shoot a GF Marine/fleet guy. (btw, the only way to kill a GF guy is if there near a crate to shoot the crate)

The Level 3 Turret is an instant kill.

Even though he was inside the safety of the ship, he died.

Ah, I see.  So the last shot killed her even though she was on the ship.  But does anyone know what the amount of damage that the level 3 turret afflicts?  Has anyone been hit by it with all energy tanks (full) while on or off the ship?

I had completely forgotten about that turret, but I remember hearing about it when the game came out.

Makes you wonder why the feds don't place a bunch of those around the galaxy to deal with any pirates that happen to find them, though. Oh, wait, that's right... the Federation for the most part is never that competent, are they?

Wow.  So shooting a crate that's near a mechanic will cause the turret to come down, and then it attacks in three phases, the third of which is insta-death?  I noticed in the video that he was shooting the hell out of the turret but it didn't seem to make a scratch.  Can you even kill the turret?

Now I'm really confused.  Are you saying that it can't be killed once it enters it's third phase, but it CAN be killed before that (phase 1 or 2) ??

Or are you saying that it can't be killed at all, ever, regardless of the phase ??

Absolutely correct. First two level is killable. Once you reach level three, it means "YOU'RE GONNA DIE!!!"
