I hate to break it to you, but the PS Lunar box sets are the standard ones. There was a very limited release of a "fan edition" of Lunar SSSC that was just the game discs and paper manual which is actually considerably rarer -- I think it was about 4000 copies produced, compared to the 250K of the "collectors edition". But which disc art variant do you have? The Luna/Althena set, which was the second printing, seems to be the most sought after; the Alex/Dyne one was printed first and may be the most common. The other two seem to be fairly evenly represented.
(If you can't tell, I am THE Lunar collector.)
I've considered getting the PAL Super Metroid box edition, but I would still need to get a SNES that would play it.
I have the edition with Alex / Dyne on the game discs, Luna on the music CD, and a floating island on the 'Making of' disc. It has the cloth world map enclosed, and a hardback booklet with interviews and artwork alongside the actual istructions.

I have two, just in case one ever dies, and I'd not part with them for anything.
And I can't believe that I didn't mention my favourite! Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, limited edition, including music CD and artwork booklet - mint condition.
Im not want say Probotector 2 (aka super-C) I am spending about month and half playing that game almost every day. I finally got good run and sending it in SDA. I don,t know get this reject or accept doom. I hope it is accept so i can relax and play other games too.
I bought Double Dragon (Nes) with my virtual console. I play that sometimes. But game is just hellishly hard and frustrating so i don,t are beaten that yet.
Today i sbreak Metroid Prime too. I am little rusty, but not too much.
Catching up on my N64 library, now that I've realized that my computer is good enough to handle it. Working on Paper Mario (rescued one Elder Star so far,) Smaaaaaash Brothers (Got Jigglypuff recently,) and Majora's Mask (Gotta find those 5 Bombers.) Also beat a couple more episodes in n+.
Quote from JaggerG:
I remember playing the original N years ago. I don't think I ever beat all the episodes. Aren't there at least 100, at 5 levels each? -_-
Not sure, although the number of boxes that represent episodes seems to end at 45 (playing the DS n+.) What was the original n for? =\

Yeah, this is what Working Designs did: offer goodies (and limited quantities) to encourage people to buy right away.

Hey, I bought one of these recently too. Haven't spent much time replaying the actual game, though.
Yeah, that's the first printing of SSSC. Only the disc art is different between the four printings. I'd disagree regarding the limited quantities, unless you're thinking of how WD stopped producing SSSC six months or so after they released it. The Fan Art Edition was an anomaly, and not in the original plan; it was put out because a) the PC version localization was cancelled and b) the license was ending soon anyway so they only printed enough copies to sell in those last couple of months. I think Growlanser Generations was the only other game they actually sold two versions of, and there were some weird circumstances with that one too.
Get Double Dragon 2, if it's available, as it much better!
This. For the love of god THIS.

Why do the invisible bugs in the sewer always give me a friggin heart attack? Damn you RE4!
They're fucking supposed to, Tooz. Made me almost shit my pants myself the first time too.
As for me, I'm playing one of the most addicting strategy games I've ever played, Battle Moon Wars 銀. I just hope Werk decides to release the final fucking patch so I can start translating the embedded japanese stuff in the EXE. -_-
Just finished Majora's Mask again. I gave up on the last couple of heart pieces because I just didn't have the patience. Everytime I play through this game I am in awe of what a masterpiece it is.
That's one of my favorite parts in RE4. For a game that rarely scares, that sewer makes my hands damn sweaty by the time it's done.
I don't know. It only scares me before the monster starts attacking. After it starts then I'm really not as freaked out for some reason. Hand to hand fight with Krauser makes my palms sweat hardcore though. Fight is freaking tough if you are tired.

I don't think I've ever gotten more than 17 hearts in MM. I just go insane looking for those last pieces and give up though I do get all of the items / masks. Oh and screw you! Now I have to go play MM again and find those freaking heart pieces.
I dunno, the inviso-bugs are hands down the freakiest, but I still think my favorite and most intense part is the cabin siege. Just gives you a total feeling of 'how the fuck do I possibly survive this?'
Fun Fact: Once, I got a Game Over in the cabin siege because stupid Luis would keep walking in the path of my gunfire, and I'd accidentally hit him, and eventually he ended up killing me himself. =p
