While fighting Nightmare, i find it easiest to Pseudo Screw Attack along the right wall. You can lure him all the way up like that, then shoot him. Charge another shot, and do it again before he comes down on you. When he turns on the gravity, he's at the top of the screen, so get under him and fire charged shots constantly. When he gets close, jump up so you get him with the flare. if done right, the 2nd form is gone in about 10 seconds.

The rest I did normally, circling him and shooting when i had the chance. That's how I finally beat him on my 1% run.

Can anyone make a vid please? Thanks  ^_^

If I got your explanation correct, that's what I did in my previous run. Shouldn't be too hard to dig up a vid.

looks helpful, especially for 1%. thanks for reminding us of this.
Excellent job, but alas, it is missing the most important part. While pseudo screw attacking, you hang against the right wall. If you're all the way to the right, he cant hit you. Also good for planning or something that requires you not pause, i now realise.
everybody knows it's true

Your ability to post .avi vids make me jealous. When can I get a folder?
