So... I gave this a try and already ran into a few things. I'm pretty sure I used the new patch as of a few days ago, and everything seems to run fine. But Crateria's rocks seem off compared to the rest of the environments I've seen so far. Don't know if that's what intended or not though, so I can't be sure.
Regardless, not only am I somehow stuck after getting ONLY the Morph Ball and having tried every spot that comes to mind and failing to find the proper route, but I am also stuck in that I can't get out of a small spot in Crateria because I don't have any bombs.

I got the patch to work. It was my patching software that was acting up.
That's what I've been looking for too. It wasn't hard to find them in the first patch. Only one I've found is covered by a block.

Hmm. Nice work so far n this thing. just found it randomly searching around. i got walljump nd supers.. collected uh ccharge beam. Would anyone know the exit of the charge beam room? :s im stumped. Two grey doors and no enemies to kill.. Near the enterance i can hear the jumpy norfair enemies i guess stored off screen. but yea.

Though this is old, if you are somehow still stuck lol try jumping, pushing down then forward. You should be able to land on the ledge next to you.
