Well, ths may be a newb question, and I've been away from here for a looooong time but, is there any difference between this and the regular pal version?
I know some VC games had had some issues fixed, such as glitches and stuff, and I wonder if this is the case.
Please help.

The only difference I know of is a slightly larger, brighter and less grainy picture. Everything else regarding gameplay remains exactly the same as far as I know.

You sure? It's just that maybe it's the GCN's controller fault, by I couldn't do a mockball, when on the snes I used to do it perfectly
Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
It's probably just down to the miniscule D-pad on the Cube controller.  Doesn't give you much space for the rolling motion.
I like turtles.
Both of the GCN's directional control options are pathetic for games requiring a D-Pad.
I play PAL on the VC and can do mock balls and just about every trick the game has just like I can on the snes. I use the Wii classic controller which is simply a beautiful game pad due to it's simplicity. It feels built for a game like super metroid. It was made for virtual console though as it kinda caters for nes, snes and N64 era games with it's design. As well as all the sega games and all the other consoles I can't possibly list right now.

Meh, stupid GCN controller, then. At the end of the month I'll have to buy a Classic Controller, then.

Does the game still run in 50hz? can you skip the Torizo?
My name is 4N6/Forensics.
Yes everything is the same.

Which Torizo is skippable? The Bomb one?
Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
Yes, on PAL, but of course you still have to collect the bombs.  You can't skip Torizo's room entirely.  You need to either:

Turn before collecting the bombs, so that you catch it with your back, and then arm pump numerous times, followed by a jump toward the door, turning at the last moment, so that your back again triggers the door transition.
Jump before collecting the bombs, collecting it with your back, and immediately hitting the floor.  The rest is as above, but is harder, and I doubt it's even possible on console.

The second option is really just the TAS option not just because it's way too hard on console (I've never managed it) but because I think it saves a few frames as well.

Ouch, it seems hard:S
