Time bomb set get out fast!

Count me among those still looking forward to Old School. There's been so much talk of a NES Metroid remake in SM (not to mention all the tribute rooms in Redesign). This project has come the farthest, and I really hope tbolt can go all the way with it.

Opium: MetCon is low-activity? I thought we were low-activity (though still a good place for hack fans to hang out). If everybody moved over there, where are they now?

I think Opium is speaking more generally. While MetConst does have some hacking activity, the play side is very, very low, and discussion of the hacks is fairly minimal. Maybe it needs more emphasis on the released stuff too? Probably a conversation better had over there...

hey guys you dont have to worry. I am seeing this through to the end. but this time im taking my time to make sure everything works right and there are no bugs but i could sure speed things up if i could just copy rooms from the other failed one without the broken pplms and stuff then i can really jump ahead of schedule. but most anticipated of 2011? i severely doubt it! LOL

Can you not just do the open ROM trick..?

Open the ROM with the dodgy room, choose a room, then open the new ROM, and save without opening a room.

so there is a way to repaste the room without the plms that overworte and screwed things up in the first place thats really going to save time

Ok heres the deal im going to be moving to a new house in the next week or so as soon as we get settled in and unpacked the old school project will resume i had a little setback i gues you cant just copy rooms that were messed up i guess

Is there a way to add or replace the music files? Some NES-style remixes would be perfect for this mod. Assuming there is a way to replace and add music files for ROM Hacks, then I'm gonna get back to work on screwing around in Audacity.

Music alterations is a commonly asked question, and the short answer is that it needs to be done manually, and takes an age to do. It's a hell of a lot of work. There are only a few hackers that have managed it so far.

While Tyjet is correct, you'd probably not get far on the forum itself. If you head to their Main Site, and if you're using a browser that supports it, you can just click the 'mibbit' link, and try and catch up with somebody on IRC.
