Well this game is going to go beyond  just the original world of metroid.  Wrecked ship and maridia will be remade to what they might have been in the original game  and  some other stuff too.  Now an update  I nailed down some problems  and have started enemy and item placement in all of the old areas  as soon as thats done  I can get to the final  areas  and have the game beta tested.  Old school is coming this year  i can feel it!!  and whatever roms are leftover  ill  make them into somthing

bad news folks  I have to start over on old school  due to hdd crash and burn  however  since i know more  about smile  that i did before  i can remake the old rooms again  faster and bigger and better  and I have some new ideas  that i can now incorperate into the game  so stay tuned  because this is going to be bigger than my original idea

But the most important and you have got everything in your head, so you'll have no problem in the future ...
Your job will be even faster and more accurate with the small things that left us very happy you completely changed the guys here will not have to complain!

Man that really really sucks.  I hope that you will make somewhat regular backup copies on an external drive in the future.  I'm kinda flabbergasted (yes, I said flabbergasted) that you haven't been doing this already, considering how many hours of work you have put into this.  Sorry to hear about the bad news.

Well i did make several backups  but i only had one hd  but this could be a good thing though because my new ideas are going to blow the doors off the other one  and remember  how in super metroid there were just bits and pieces of the old roomms from m1  well thats going to be reversed  there wil be bits and pieces of the new zebes rooms from m1  that i think are really going to make the game stand out  im very excited  and motivated  and this is going to rock!

I'm really sorry to hear that. If you have only 1 HD, use floppy
at last (almost ANY patch can be saved there) or CD-RW or... something.

Ok  heres thedreal  I managed to recover the hack i have been working on  but  its  too far gone  to fix  there were broken tilesets  all kids of stuff overwritten  and room errors  and misplaced doors  but i have started over  and  here are some  of the new rooms  that i hope you like

Heres a update for you  5 or 6 more easy rooms and old brinstars back in business.  What im doing now  is just not messing with plms  and enimies  and  just concentrating on room design  as for enimies and items  ill cross that bridge when i come to it.

Been following this recently, god speed, tbolt, it all looks wonderfully done. I'm sorry about your Hard drive. But I'm impressed with your resolve to finish this at all costs. It gives me a fuzzy feeling.
