Super Metroid 2: Return of Samus!

Someone should make a super metroid hack that is a remake of Metroid 2.
the only problem i can think of would be the bosses. but mabie someone could do some serious ASM hacking.

i dont know if this is possible, but perhaps someone could edit the graphics and the programing of the metroids in tourian to look like the ones from metroid 2

i dont have nearly enough skill to do this, but its an idea. :)

Someone's doing that with the Zero Mission engine and it looks pretty cool. I seem to remember someone else trying to do it with the SM engine, but... don't guess that caught on.

If I recall, there are already like 2-3 Metroid 2 remake projects going on (none of which are SM hacks though). However, making a SM hack that remakes M2 would require one of the 3-4 or so people who are experts at both SM hacking and ASM, and they're all making their own hacks, so it's unlikely to happen.

Also, Metroid 2 in SM have been tryed many times. A metroid 2 remake would (if you ask me) work better in a fan game.

It would certainly be a great hack if made someday.

Isn't there a project going on at the moment where MP is being adapted for SM?
How is that coming along?

Metroid SR388 is like Super Metroid.
AM2R is Like Metroid Fusion.

So this would be like a 3rd variation to 2 other games that currently being made. A Super Metroid engine in a Metroid 2 world?

Er.... Right? Is that what you meant?

I personally see no need for it. I'd rather wait for either of the 2 other games to come out and enjoy those. If that ever happens (at least: soon). :-?

Replace "computer" with "Chozo" and you have ZM. The only real difference is that the Chozo are horrible at preventing sequence breaks.

There aren't any real sequence breaks in ZM because they are the same in Metroid so they are the same in ZM. You weren't required to get the varia suit, screw attack, hi-jump boots, etc in Metroid so why in ZM?
