Hey there!

I'm not sure if this was already known, but I didn't find anything using the search function, so I guess it's not.

I found a glitch while fighting Imago. When I played through Metroid ZM the first time, I accidentally finished Imago off on the left wall with that charged spin jump thingy. It then started exploding... and kept exploding and exploding and didn't stop exploding. O_o For some reason his lower body part was stuck at the left wall and couldn't fall down. I wasn't sure if that was supposed to happen or not cause it was the first time I played that game, but in the end I had to reset and try again.

Did that happen to anyone else before? Maybe someone manages to reproduce it and take a video of it. :D
Thread title:
I've seen that happen before.
would be an awesome catch for the other section. sounds like a spectacularly retarded glitch to let into the final version of a game.
Here's the video in vmu:

Edit: It's VBA 1.7.2. Nate mentioned that's not compatible with the previous versions...

2nd Edit: I was trying to pseudo screw attack into it. I'm not sure if I did that or fired but either way, it induced the bug.
What luck, there's french fry stuck in my beard.
That's a rather embarrasing glitch for the design team, if you ask me.  Like that one in the Vault in Metroid Prime.

Okay, I'm not all that hot on ZM bosses.

Which one is Imago? That flying insect thingy?

Yeah. I wanted to call it flying insect thing, but I didn't want to look like a noob so I looked up it's actual name... XD

In that case, what's the name of the Hoppy Tree plant in Fusion?

I'm sure I've heard it somewhere before, but I think I disregarded it because my petname for it was better (in a way).

lol no way
Yeah, this has happened to me like... 20 times, but I didn't know how to execute it as it happened using a super missile... cool though that someone finally got video evidence of it.

Japanese name? Cause I've only heard you guys refer to him as the giant plant.
yep. zazabi wasn't included in the fusion manual, though, and so we normally use sess's 'giant plant' name.

But everybody confuses poor joojoobee with Nettori when we refer to the "Big plant boss in TRO," because they both fit this same description. We're all like "Hey, how'd you get the 4 jump giant plant boss in TRO?" Then some n00b reads it and goes "Oh, him? He's easy! There's a special spot you can stand on where you never get hit by the fuzzies!"
i must be subconsciously filtering noob speech like that, because afaik i've never heard anything that stupid before.
Heh, check out the most random boss poll on SCU http://www.samusforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=354. I know at least one person who says that Giant Plant is so easy, all you have to do is pump missiles until he dies. I'm sure this is incredibly common since most of the bosses in the game don't have a game name. Never did it mention Nettori or Yakuza or even Ridley :P

Edit: It turns out that the second post mentions Giant Plant is Nettori. He also goes on the claim that the movements of Nightmare is completely random. Someone hasn't taken enough doses of Sess lately :P

2nd Edit: The first page is full of discussions on Nettori. I rest my case

XO d'oh!
A tree IS a plant! Ah well, whatever. I was talking to someone the other day about how Nightmare's movement is, in fact, completely random, and he kept saying that it depended on where you were and how fast he was going. As it turned out, we were talking about two completely different things. I was talking about that second or so after he hits the ladder and goes in one direction for so much distance that was random, he was talking about AFTER that second or so when you actually have control over him. Maybe that was what they were talking about.
Jagger, that was me :P. And SCU's poll is completely unrelated to most things. Have you read any of their posts? Not to degrade the site, but... yeah, enough about me flaming.
