Mr. Nate here thinks he knows more about Metroid than me... what a silly head. I insisted it was Ess Arr Three Eight Eight... and he doesn't agree. As for the sound clip, you'll note that the computer has a little echo after everything she says, as well as a gap between her words... Nate thought there was a gap between Eight Eight and that was what made him think that it was Eighty-Eight... I guess. Could we also get a cleaner sound clip, like for example the first time the computer says it, when there's no music/elevator sound? That'd help tremendously in deciding this, although the one Bladegash gave us is good for the moment.
Well yeah... on all the sci-fi stuff I've seen the planets that are designated with numbers have their names pronounced one number at a time. Would be weird if it you guys were right though... that's like Tallon iv, pronounced as letters instead of roman numerals.
Wait, it IS supposed to be roman numerals right? Shit.
The music kicks in right before it says the planet's name. I tried to disable the various sound channels to see if I could playback the vocals alone, but it didn't work.
Wow Nate. We sure are 1337 today. I'll not press A and let the narrative play out. From what I can gather from both of our clips, sounds like Sr-3 eighty-eight to me! 8)
And here it is speeded up. Man, I have waaaayyyy too much free time. :P This is as funny as hell. You should listen to it even if you don't care about the pronuctiation.
