Btw, if you pick up the echo visor without using the portal to the dark world, the sonic thingies wont be there, I don't know if anyone has reached the visor before the way I did, but if you didn't know.
And if you didn't solve this already, you can make a BSJ to the key outside Boost Guardian's lair. From the other side of the half pipe.
what happen if you get the echo visor during DS 2 fight?
And if we could skip the sky temple keys, we could skip the light suit, the dark visor...and annihilator!
Yes if you skip the light suit, you can skip quadraxis and returning the sanctuary energy. So you don't need the annihilator. I don't know if the portal to the sky temple exist.
Yeah, and if we can skip the artifacts in Prime, yay! It wont happen. You can't pick up the echo visor during the fight with DS2, there's an invisible barrier in the way.
well I don't think the light suit is doable (there was something on the boards about a glitch to get underwater, but don't know where it is) there is the one key in storage cavern A that requires going through a lot of ingstorm that does a very nasty job of destroying yoiur health. this goes on for al least two or three rooms, with no safe zones to recover or stuff like that..
and I'm not quite sure how one would get into the sky temple without the light suit. . . . . what with the needing to ride the beam of light and all (if there is a way I don't know it and am therefore talking out of my ass)
At the beggining of the game, In industrial site, did someone try to pass above the door thingy (you must destroy 2 spots to open this door) using a mid-air morph?
It could probably work because you can pass above with moonjump, in morph ball mode.
just btw, I think you can screw through ingstorms with only the dark suit and not take any damage - I did this after quadraxis doing 20% (after I died the first time trying to plough through with the morph ball - staying alive seemed to be preferable to doing it quickly).
Can we screw attack trough ing storms in ing reliquary?
I'm not that great a player, but I was able to get the key and back out of the key room with seven tanks. I only had two tanks left and couldn't make it back to the light world.
It took me seven tanks using SA. You can't SA all the way due to height constraints. I'm sure the better players could do much better, but with no tanks I really don't think it is possible. "Impossible is nothing" some say though. ;]
Did anyone try this : in hive dynamo works, there is 2 sides : one with the seekers targets and the other where the ing cache is, with spider ball tracks. I was wondering if it's possible to go to the seekers target side from the spider ball tracks side with a double BSJ. It could be a very useful speed trick but I don't know if there is an invisible barrier.
there's an invisible wall for "230583928 miles of height" sparky said. but eventually you could go over if you could go that high... only way i could see it would be by floating (not necessarily inside a sw; could be like my forgotten bridge vid). or maybe messing around with the terminal fall.
I think that I found a cool stuff that could be done with this very early PB :
You must get the light suit without the super missile. To get the light suit without super missile you must get the boost ball without super. It can be done using the technique that Kip discovered in forgotten bridge to get over the fence.
After getting light suit, go to torvus using a light elevator (the one that you can use in energy controllers). once in torvus go to torvus temple and fall from the top of the room. I think that you can grab the super missile skipping the fight. :D
Here is an alternative early Grapple method (although a much longer route to do it). Lower the gate to the portal in Catacombs by dashing to the bomb slot from the scenery to the left of the opening. Here is the silly video. EDIT: Oops, this was already discovered by Prime Hunter back in early December.
Pay no attention to the fact that I had the light suit. The bombing and jumping should prove I am Grav-less. This was done by picking up XtraX's early SW-aquired PB to test barriers and key issues with skipping GravBoost. BTW, there aren't any :)
Some observations of fighting Chykka Larva/Light/dark forms WITH Light Suit AND Annihilator beam... (achieved by using an AR).
*The beam does NO DAMAGE AT ALL to ANY form of Chykka unfortunately :(
* You DON'T sink into the water with the LS on. Instead, you can walk freely around in it and it's knee deep in water
* Powerbombs also do no damage to any form of Chykka.
I DID however, come across this wierd glitch. When you stand behind the Larva as it jumps onto the central platform (when it normally tries to catch you with it's tongue), the screen starts to violently shudder! I captured it in the movie below:
Also, with regards to the claim made by the person who said they once DBJ'd over the portal that leads to the cut-scene where you lose your items, that's TOTAL and UTTER crap. I made it to the room after that (with the Dark Troopers leading to the lift up) from the backway route (using all items cheat with the AR and going around the LONG way to it) and the following observations were made:
* The Dark Fed Troopers stand still (just like the pirates in Main Quarry when you use the shortcut to the top of the crane).
* As soon as you hit the point in the morphball tunnel where the next room loads you trigger the cut-scene of Samus when she enters that room from the OTHER side!
This means that the "trigger point" for that cut-scene starts at the portal and goes ALLLL the way back and into the morphball tunnel itself. Even with moonjump I couldn't make it over without triggering that cutscene. So there's NO chance you can make it over. Period.
It seems Retro knew the implications of circumventing THAT particular part of the game and made sure they covered their arses WELL.
