A wierd trick I found with a space pirate.

I lured one into the only area in chozodia that has lava and got it to fall in. IT HAD NO FRIKIN EFFECT!

I found that really wierd.

Um, why? There's no particular reason to make the Space Pirates vulnerable to lava. Don't they completely ignore the acid in Super Metroid? I would find it much stranger if the lava did affect them.

P.S. it's "weird"

So uhh, the Space Pirates can develop anti-heat suits but after several games, they can't develop anti power beam suits? (xept Prime, but that's a bit different.) Couldn't they make anti beam suits?

Space Pirates have no interest in defense. They only found out they were immune to lava by jumping into it to see if it would mutate them. They keep trying, just in case.

video game physics strike again.

seriously, I wouldn't think too hard on this one. the pirates survive in the lava because they can. and they will never defeat samus or come up with something that she can't smash so bad that they would need a mop to pick up what's left either. this is all pretty much video game "law" where the enemies are immune to all kinds of stuff but not your weapons, and come up with the most evil plan that can be foiled by just one person being all heroic and stuff

i think zeke totally has the space pirate humor from prime down pat. retro should hire him to write the pirate logs for prime 3.

Hey I found another glitch with the pirates!

In the lower left of chozodia (one you get the powersuit back) Go to the save point and go Morph Ball. Roll to the left and keep going, in the next room, you will be spotted by the pirtate when you get to the wall. The emergency gate closes on it and it will be (somewhat) stuck. From here you can roll a little to the left and let it shoot you and it will flaa throught the ground and keep "jumping" back and forth.If you jump on the block in there and let the sirens die down, the pirate will fall though the ground the rest of the way and dissapear.

Another thing you can do once it's in the gate is, rightaway, jump on the bloack and the pirate will jump thru the wall instead.
