Oh I was wondering what those lloyd talismans were for.  I thought they would come in handy when fighting an enemy that keeps using estus.
How do you spot them visually?
Also, if I destroy them with a talisman, will there be something in the chest, or is the chest useless?

Well now I got a ring of flame resistance, but my path is blocked because someone, presumably a giant, keeps throwing huge firebombs onto the next platform.  I killed a giant that was visible in the distance, but the firebombs are still coming.  Kind of at a loss, here.
I see the giant now, but my arrows only do 16 dmg.  Man, this will take an hour.

If you use a Lloyd Talisman on a mimic, you can get the content of the chest without having to fight them. But I think it doesn't kill them. Lloyd Talisman's main use is what you mentioned about making Estus use impossible for a short time if you hit someone with it.

You can spot mimics visually by looking at the chain on the ground. The real treasure chests have a curved, harmless looking chain. The mimics' chains are pointed at you (well, they're pointed forward, but generally if you're looking at them it's right in front of you).
The giant throws the firebombs at specified locations, and not after you. Check the ground, it's all charred whe he throws them. Then you just need to adjust your timing and run past those places while he's grabbing the next bomb.
I killed that giant.  Didn't take as long as I thought it would.

I'll have to check out that chest again later.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
Also you can juts attack a chest to see if it's a mimic, should you forget how the chain is supposed to look. There will be a good opportunity in the next area to see the difference, you'll see two chests close by each other one will be a mimic.

A fun thing to do online is put a message that says "be wary of mimicry" in front of non mimic chests in precarious positions!

I tried to target the chest after it let me go and was unable to, so I assumed I couldn't attack it.  Maybe it has to be out of the chest to be targeted.

I can see the enormous boss, but I can't find a bonfire.  I haven't found one at all in sens fortress.
My choices are some dead ends, a white fog door to the boss, and another path with a big freaky knight.  I guess the big freaky knight is where it's at.

I can see the cathedral in the distance.  Cool.
I'm standing in front of two chests now, and they look the same.  hmmm

Look at the chain on the ground next to them.

Curved = real chest
Pointing forward = mimic
I opened both and neither was a mimic, so that must be a different area.  I did note the chains, though so I know what to look for now thanks.

I just can't believe there's no freakin' bonfire anywhere and the only place I can go now is the white boss door.

I think by next area tbob means literally the next big place you enter after Sen's Fortress.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
Yeah, sorry, I meant after you beat the boss of this funhouse. Should have clarified, I just sort of want to avoid saying names of places you haven't seen yet.
The bonfire in Sen's is pretty out of the way. Remember where the giant is hurling boulders at you? You have to jump off the edge of one of the platforms to the left of the exit from the inside part of the fortress.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
There is a bonfire though, look where the big scary knight is, and turn around and head down the stairs back down to that open area there should be a portion of wall missing if you look down from there you can see a little balcony, there's your bonfire. You'll have to drop down. It's a rude bonfire because you're too busy trying not to get blown up to look for it.

I definitely missed it on my first playthrough.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
I missed the drop once, that was fun.
oooh I got a cage key and a lightning protection ring!  I don't think  I need the cage key because I used master key to free big hat.

Thanks for pointing me to bonfire  :)
One shall stand, one shall ball.
The cage key will open an elevator shortcut, the master key can't open it for whatever reason.
wow...anor londo is.....beautiful

YES
One shall stand, one shall ball.
There's something kinda shady about it all imo.
Is that some kind of pun, or a warning?

I'm so glad these huge halberd bearing knights reapper after resting at bonfire.  They're a blast!  I think I'll kill them for an hour or so.

And the sen fortress boss was easy.  He sure looked scary though.

Yeah, Iron Golem is the Tower Knight of this game. Hit his feet and he falls. Unlike Tower Knight, however, you can actually make Iron Golem fall off the bridge which is pretty sweet.
One shall stand, one shall ball.

Just a comment. It's just very bright and shiny, Anor Londo, maybe too shiny. Like it's putting on airs. I don't trust it, personally, some Beverly Hills shit.
Oh boy, Anor Londo is where the real fun begins.
