What? Bloodborne only has a couple fake walls in Chalice dungeons.

Yeah, but I think it's the only game in which you can uncover fake walls by rolling into them.
One shall stand, one shall ball.

Aren't there pyromancies you can only get when you talk to that one guy in an infected state?

Toxic Mist is the only exclusive one and you will never ever use it. You aren't gonna use Poison Mist either but you can find that in the swamp so double who cares.

And screw these illusory walls.  At least in DeS the walls looked different. Does DS offer any clue whatsoever about the illusory walls?!  If not, that means you'd have to go around striking every wall in the game, or be told from an outside source, or just happen to stumble upon it through some grand accident.

Keep in mind that these games are built around the idea that there's an online component messages from other players work as a sort of guide to some of the more obscure stuff and as a result allows for more obscure stuff. It's the one thing you miss out on by playing offline. It can also be a used to troll but that's part of the charm.
I think I used toxic mist a few times in PvP

it didn't do much though iirc lol
One shall stand, one shall ball.
Because people tend to get the fuck out of the poo gas asap even if they don't know what it is.
No work today.  It's all about DS.  ::::))))

ah that's true. I forgot about that.
I'll definitely play DS2 online when I snag my PS4.  I just don't feel like paying xbox for the privilege.

As far as the trolling goes, I don't get why people do that so I don't see the charm.  That's why I fail to detect trolling so often.  What would compel someone to do that unless they're 8?

I'm a little confused about something.  I have a Divine Longsword +5 and I wanted to upgrade it, but when I visit the smith and highlight the divine upgrade icon, it's not there.  It doesn't appear anywhere else either.  Why?

The weapon upgrade system is a little confusing.

You need a 'better' ember to upgrade stuff from +5 to +6. In your case, Divine +5 to +6 requires the *Large* Divine Ember.
Thanks.

I've selected 3 weapons so far for regular upgrading, one for divine, and the rest I'm leaving at +5 until I have more options.
The curved sword you can use the spider lady's soul to create is very useful btw.
How do I use those souls to create weapons?
There's a special blacksmith who can perform ascension using boss souls. You'll get there later.
Thanks.

I now have a divine longsword +5 and a magic longsword +5  :)
Just lost 82K souls for good.  FUCK !!!
everyone's got that moment sooner or later...
On my first playthrough I went straight into Blightdown after I beat the Gaping Dragon, assuming there'd be abonfire right around the corner. But there wasn't and I lost over 40k souls. That really frustrated me at the time lol

Been there. Losing 20K was already the end of the world my first time through. One of the last times I played Demon's Souls I lost something like 7 million souls I was holding... and I didn't mind because I knew I could amass about that much in the next cycle, haha.

On another note... Divine is only really useful in the Catacombs. The normal upgrade path should be more than enough to get you through the game.
Yes I'd heard there was one part where divine was useful.  That's the only reason I upgraded a weapon on that path.

I keep getting hit by those damn pendulums.  The snake men are like flies, even the lightning demons weren't a big problem, but for some reason I'm having a huge amount of trouble on the pendulums.  The broken bricks on the path are an ineffective marker, and visually I would swear that I'm many feet past the pendulum but it still hits me.  They look like their about 6 inches thick, but they hit you if you're many feet past them for some lame reason.  I can stand so close in front of them that it looks like they're grazing my nose and not get hit, but PAST them it's a totally different story.
There's at least one bridge where you have to run through all of them at once. That's all I can say about that part.
I think I just died on it.  There were 4, and the bridge was very high and narrow.  And I looked everywhere for a bonfire but no dice.  I did rescue the big hat guy though.  Got trolled by the chest too.  Now I don't want to ever open a chest again.

Hahahaha, the mimic is a treasured moment, pun very intended <3

lol well done
The mimics are easy to spot visually btw...

You can also dispose of them by throwing a lloyd's something at them even if they're still closed.m if you have enough you could check every chest like that before opening it
