I don't even remember what their fee used to be last time I sold something on there
It was like 3% or some very low percentage a long time ago when I used to sell stuff.  The bill would always be some low amount that I didn't care about.  Now, they charge a whopping 10% !

I guess at some point they had a massive fee increase and I read that they lost 30% of their sellers when they did that.  I'm out of the loop.  Too bad I had to learn about the change the hard way.  If I had known, I would have increased the sell price of my items to make up for it.
looks like I caught the flu. fuck
oh no. I had the flu once and it was pure hell.  Try to stay hydrated.

saw captain marvel today. i really liked brie larson in the role, other than that it was a pretty standard mcu movie. decent effects though, they did a hell of a job de-aging sam jackson

yeah we got about 8 inches.  I was worried about the wind because our power kept flickering on and off, and we lost internet briefly.

gotta love the neighbor with the snowblower coming out and doing our driveway
So apparently the NZ mosque shooter was wearing a helmet cam and livestreamed the attack.  The video has been quickly cleansed from any popular sources, but I want to see it.  Call it morbid curiosity, or call it whatever you want to, I want to see it and I can't find it.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
Oh I'm sure the regular shithole sites will still have it if you really want to track it down.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
lmao I came across this apparently brilliant video analysis of Metroid Prime's world design, in which our genius analyst claims that the Artifact temple is "somewhat hidden away" (It's literally right in front of you) and its instruction to find the thingydoos to unlock Important Place isn't clear enough. I love Youtube Game Design Experts, I didn't pay attention to what the game asked me to do, bad design, like and subscribe.

Here's the video, not sure it really deserves more clicks, but it's there if you want it.

It's for the best, really.

would definitely recommend checking out mark brown's other videos - his zelda ones are pretty cool

He's not confused as to what "Dawn of the First Day 72 Hours Remain" means is he? :v

I mean he wasn't entirely wrong in the Prime video but, like, acting like the Artifact Temple is tricky to find and its instructions unclear is uhhhhhh.

Prime put the door to leading to the temple in your line of sight the second you get to Talon IV, it puts the lore bits that tell you the Impact Crater is Bad Business that needs to be dealt with right in your path. That's, like, basic good design that would have been worth pointing out in a video about level design, I'd think. There are plenty of gripes one can bring up about the whole artifact hunt but if the player was unclear on it even existing that is 100% on the player. The criticism is baffling unless you're actively trying to subvert expatiation to sound smart. If not he's really not great at paying attention and neither option really encourages me to watch more of his videos.

Granted starting on the video of a game I know better than most people would is a little unfair. But it's a really weird thing to be wrong about!
That sounds like more than half of the videos on youtube.  Some of the complaints people make are so off that I've just decided that they know they are 100% incorrect, and they're just doing it to stir up comments and shares for their video.
you should try looking up amateur musical transcriptions of popular songs online

no act can more convincingly demonstrate the fact that the internet needs an editor
I almost feel like it's half the fun of youtube though

if it were an 100% reliable encyclopaedia of information and everything were correct, there wouldn't really be any opportunity for discussion
being able to say "this guy is a fucking idiot" is part of the game

tbob yeah that part of the video didn't make sense to me either, but i'm just saying don't discount the video or the guy's channel entirely. game maker's toolkit overall is a super well done and interesting series, one of the better video game criticism channels out there
Dood Trigger™
I like the Boss Keys series but this wasn't the first time he screwed up in his analysis IMO... when he did Metroid: Zero Mission he had this whole fancy graphics thing showing how linear ZM is based on how many rooms you can unlock with each new upgrade. He completely neglected to mention that most of these upgrades are optional, and that you can literally travel to either end of the world with no requirements from the other side.

Besides, yeah, no shit, when you get the Morph Ball in Super Metroid there is literally only one place to go too...

yeah in general his metroid videos are the least well-made .... i don't think the guy enjoys metroid for the same reasons i do

but man his zelda videos are so good
