red chamber dream
lol i shudder at the thought
heh this swedish spammer keeps attacking my website, it's a person, not a bot

and I'm quite enjoying the contest
each time my countermeasures get slightly more sophisticated and they have to find a way to circumvent them
I think we're probably both quite enjoying the fact that we're wasting each other's time
I still have a ton of things I can do that I haven't done yet, but I refuse to play my entire hand in one go, so this could go on for a while
I'm in two minds about whether I want to do borderline illegal shit like deploy exploits back to their browser when I detect them
Club 27 Goals
What's he going to do? Sue you? You're not in america.
breaking the law's not worth it
not in this case anyway
Yesterday we were talking about photography for a little while.  My friend took this photo with her phone yesterday:

Installing Debian next to Windows was easier than I expected.

Now... drivers... where to begin lol
two spam attempts by swedish spammer, 20 minutes apart, both failed

it's still your move, Sir
Is your site even worth spamming all day? What's the address?
ryu no lol, nobody reads it
well I get a lot of traffic from google images because of all the photos I took of old computers at bletchley park

http://chexum.co.uk/
so yeah my bletchley park writeup gets hits

nothing else does though
I'll read it!!!

Once I can display higher than 800x600
This is nuts. Even my set of wireless mouse/keyboard work out of the box so why doesn't it detect my displays lol

I wonder if a graphics driver is necessary for that
probably, you'll probably need to get either the AMD or nvidia linux drivers depending on what you've got.

the drivers provided by the hardware manufacturers are not open source so debian doesn't typically distribute them although you should be able to find some unofficial debian packages for those drivers

I think both nvidia and AMD have some reverse engineering projects where people are trying to write open source drivers but they're honestly not great

annoyingly the intel GPUs have the best support, my laptop has intel graphics hardware and it works beautifully
I had Debian installed on an old laptop once. Worked out of the box iirc
I think I'm getting there
But at 800x600 on one monitor it's kind of a pain rotfl
