Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!

Aria of Sorrow, followed by Dawn of Sorrow, followed by Portrait of Ruin. Aria is almost a carbon copy of the formula that worked for SotN.

first and second reasons only apply to the english dub. the japanese version is like a completely different show.

I didn't mention it, as I didn't feel that it played as similarly to SotN, which was what Opium was aking for.

If you play Aria, try to get the Clamiah Solais as early as you can. Sort've like the Crissegram, it's by far the cheapest weapon in the game with it's hella-fast attack, huge arc, and Holy attibute which everything seems to be weak against in Aria.

Surely the magic system alone sets it apart? I felt that the three I listed were in the order they were most like SotN. I omitted Ecclesia, because I felt it was far enough away - one step further than PoR, with its 'level' layout - to miss the list.

PoR also has a 'level' layout. It's just slightly more connected by the castle hub.

I'd say Ecclesia retains enough elements that someone who likes SotN has a fair shot of liking it. There's more to it than level design.

Anyways, Poision, something to remember: Always expect delays for Valve releases, otherwise you'll be sorely disappointed every time.

10pm PST, final release time. PC crashed during the second map, I was quickly replaced. Not sure who I hate more, my friends or my computer.

Yeah... so when's Half Life 2:Episode 3 supposed to come out again? Oh that's right... we haven't heard from anything about it for what, a little over two years now?

Hopefully now that this is out they'll start working on it again and we can finally get the conclusion to the story we started playing back in 2004. Guess I shouldn't complain though, given how long the gap has been for StarCraft (closing in on 12 years now), but this isn't even a true sequel.
