Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!

PoR also has a 'level' layout.

That's what me said. =P

Also, I agree on Ecclesia - I just didn't feel it was as close as the others.  I actually replayed this recently, and I forgot how refreshingly difficult it was in comparison. =D

Hmm, I swear a made a post here ...

Anyways, Poision, something to remember:  Always expect delays for Valve releases, otherwise you'll be sorely disappointed every time.

From what I heard, it's supposed to unlock at 11, so we'll see.
10pm PST, final release time.  PC crashed during the second map, I was quickly replaced.  Not sure who I hate more, my friends or my computer.

I'm still pretty new to pre-ordering stuff with Valve so this is my first time experiencing it. Meh. I woke up at 5AM to see if it was out yet, and its decrypting right now.

I just rememebred there was supposed to be a meteor shower at around 1AM so I poked my head out the window. Literally within the first 5 seconds I saw a really bright one, and then for the rest of the 20 minutes I didn't see a single one.

You were lucky then.  Did you make a wish ?

Most interesting thing I learned today:

Open up facebook and then press up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, b, a, enter key then press up and down then magic circles will appear. To make them stop you simply have to refresh the page.  Whoever coded that in there was a gamer for sure since it's so close to the konami code.

EDIT:  oops, double post.  call the po-po

entering the konami code on websites is actually common on many sites, even ones that aren't associated with gaming at all. check here for more (on facebook it's actually just up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, b, a, enter. then when you click, type, or scroll, the circles appear).

actually, the double posting policy has been removed from the rules! obviously don't go crazy, but the nature of taiga forum leads to double posting much like irc.

Interesting new layout I miss the little samuses or however you would spell it.

I see Metroid2002 forum has new design.

I like older forum much more. New one look just messy and borring. And it is little bit pain use that.

BTW this is nothing compared it how much i hate new youtube. New youtube channel desing is just horrible, ugly and extremely messy. I not have any skill use it and i think i never learn like it.

my tv makes a humming sound. Magnavox with the dvd player built in. The humming sound is very annoying. Can I fix this? It does this with a dvd in and playing. I can hear the humming sound when playing my games.

It may just be the vibrations of the discs spinning.  You could try placing a very thin cloth underneath the TV / console.  But make sure it is VERY thin, so you don't compromise your ventilation.
Believe it or not that's actually a floppy disk.

Does it only happen when a really bright color appears on the TJ like red in large amounts. Because i've had the same problem. Are you using an AC plug in?

I have nothing in the cable slot. (I wish I had cable in my room). I am only using the Red, White & Yellow. The color is set on the white strip when changing brightness etc. (All of them are set in the middle). Should I change the color darker?
Believe it or not that's actually a floppy disk.
If your using the Red, White, Yellow then i don't know what the problem is. That's how it happened to me, you can try changing the darkness and see what happens.

Now that i think of it, that old tv i had was a Magnavox. Maybe that's the problem.

I been trying to get a different tv in my room. My room is small.

Doesn't matter how thin the cloth is, you're still compromising the ventilation either way.

Just put some rubber feet on it

most tvs/dvd players don't ventilate from the bottom. you should be fine.
I agree with Arkarian.

Well....  I doubt any kind of cushioning would alleviate this particular problem.  Googling for "DVD Player Vibration" -one result suggested it might be- the disc is off balance.  You could try playing it in another DVD player to see if the same thing happens.  If it does...  I suppose you could try to exchange it or buy another one (the DVD)...  Or just live with it.

Or does it do this with all DVDs?

Another thing could be the player itself (TV with DVD built in -I'm assuming) is off balance - or not on a perfectly level shelf, table, or whatever.  But I think this would be highly unlikely.

About ^that; The surface it's on could be perfectly flat, just not level.  OR it could be somewhat warped to where all the 'feet' of the DVD Player/TV aren't all touching the surface it's on -evenly.

Confused

Try the cushioning, but only on the feet of the player/TV.  Be careful though.  I'm betting it's pretty heavy. ;)

Merry Christmas
I need some advice. My friend Sarah was feeling down so I asked her whats wrong. Her dad is dead and her mom is having seizures and might die. I'm worried about Sarah, it's her only parent (she live with her aunts). Anything I can try to comfort her? Her dad was dead for awhile.
A good friend knows how to listen.  Knowing she has someone there who will always listen is a comforting thing when someone feels helpless.
