I agree with mostly everything said in this post, except for one little thing: if you can hold on for a while, there's a way to get the Broken Butterfly for free, with Ashley's help. Considering the shitloads of cash you need to buy the case upgrade, and later, the secret weapons (especially the most fun of them all, the Tommy Typewriter), anything that can save you cash while getting you a rather more powerful weapon is always welcome in my book.

Haven't played RE4 in quite a while but my favorite weapons were the Magnum (Killer7? can't remember) and Semi-auto rifle. Actually I think those are the only non-cheat items I have left on my replay file. Absolutely love the maxed out Semi-auto rifle though.

DZ: generally I just buy the BB anyway and sell the free one, mostly because once I get to the castle I'm like "ooh ahh the Broken Butterfly!". Not that huge a net loss anyway.

On a completely different subject, I just removed the 17 Trojans that have been plaguing my computer since Halloween. Yay!

Apparantly, AVG JUST NOW found the viruses hiding in my sys32. So much for quality virus protection...

I couldn't find the sources of the viruses, and AVG couldn't either, for some odd reason. It just found the viruses. I'm happy it finally did, however.

Club 27 Goals

I recently upgraded to a new graphics card and it is ROCKIN out! It took me about half an hour to finally get everything set up to where I could play a game. Mostly because of:
A: I had an overclocking software that would normally start up when you turned on the computer, so when I put the new graphics card in, it made my monitor have a sudden seizure of rainbowy colors.
B: After that I had to take it out, put my old one in, turn on the computer, disable the software, restart, make sure it was disabled, turn off the computer, take it out, put my new one in, turn it on, install the drivers, restart, update them, restart again, start up the overclocking software and get it set up for the new card.

I haven't overclocked it yet, but I set everything on Crysis to the max settings (except for anti-aliasing) And that includes resolution, and I get 30-35 FPS. After I overclock it I should be getting much more. Right now it's temperature is: Idle: 40C Gaming: 61C. I plan to overclock it until my gaming is at 70-75C (and no more).

PS: I'm getting a second one in a few weeks because I'm 35$ short of buying another one (SLI FTW) ^__^

AVG is a piece of shit. Get rid of it now.

Get Avira Antivir and Spyware Doctor (this latter one bundled with the Google Pack).

Also scan with bitdefender (not use it as a main anti-virus its a HUGE memory hog, just download the free trial to scan your computer then uninstall it).

Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!

I spent two hours last night trying to install and play Diablo 2. Evil or Very Mad

I thought I'd give it a whirl, and get back in the swing of things before Diablo 3 is released later this year, but it errored on loading, before whinging about having the 'play' disc' in the tray, instead of the 'install' disc.

I thought 'fair enough, but what's with the error?'

I tried loading it, and it bombed out with an Error 25 (Direct 3D not initialising).

I assumed it was related to the error I received, so I uninstalled and reinstalled. Nothing.

I did this a couple of times, with no luck, so I decided to give up and play the original, which also didn't work.

I gave up and went to bed. Evil or Very Mad

Meh, I just got MalwareByte's Anti-Malware, and it works fine, and it's not too much of a memory hog. It found a few things AVG didn't. I'm surprised at the amount o viruses on my compy!
