Yeah, guess it's way different on the 'Cube. On Wii you either have to shake the remote, and you can shake rather slowly, or press A (I think). There's never any mashing involved.

So did I. And I had to replay the game like four times without upgrading/buying too many weapons to be able to even freaking afford the Handcannon, and then I had to replay like three more times to be able to afford upgrading it to the max. But I LOVE hearing the sound it makes. =D

Really? Because I never beat Ultra V-Rated in Viewtiful Joe. I never got all the medals in Star Fox 64. I never beat DMD mode in any DMC. I never got all platnums in Rogue Squadron. I never beat Timesplitters 2 on hard. I haven't beat Sin and Punishment on normal, let alone hard.

Well, I will warn you of something: We had a bit of an issue elsewhere where I'm a secondary admin because a thread broke the 700-page mark... To the point that the entire DB crashed.

So you might want to look out for that. =p

That was definitely one of my most memorable childhood-gaming-challenges, though on the other hand, I mostly did it with the backthought of unlocking more stuff for our multiplayer sessions.
