So new year release sounds good?

Shohina, The water on the top of my head.

So I have been working on a half hack since a few weeks back. (I am to lazy to make a real on yet)
I wanted it done before Xmas. Sure I think I can handle that, I only got maradia and tourian left.
I could also hold it back until new year and make the rooms a bit more cooler.

But there is a huge risk I get prime 3 on the 24th. And I will most likely not work that much on it then. Wink

So when do you guys want it? Question

That depends. If it doesn't change enough or isn't polished enough, you should hold it back until the finished product is up to your standards.

Good thinking. But this is how it is. I make all rooms done, but some rooms get more attention and changes then other.
Most rooms wont even look like Super-Metroid. If I put more time into it I will give those "not so original" rooms a bit more work.

I also want to get this out off the way so I can work on my part on reborn. :?

PS: Also try to stay on topic, I did ask for a serious opinion.

Ah, then yes, its even more critical. If its the type of half-hack where a lot of the tiles that make up each room are changed (for example, more like a SM:Reverse style halfhack than Cardweaver's style of halfhack) then polishing is even more important. While it may not be the popular thing to do to hold back a release a bit, when it comes to the tile design in each room and such, there's basically only one chance to get it right. While you can release bugfix patches for bugs people may run into while playing, as far as the room design, it becomes awkward to release updated patches if you find that you would've preferred changing some other rooms a bit more or something and want to refine a bit later, since most people will begin playing the version that comes out immediately when its released.

Also, the more time you spend with making this hack, the more experience you gain with SMILE for your part in Reborn, so you don't have to think of it as wasted time or anything.

when ever it's ready. But the sooner the better, as reborn isn't going to make itself (speaking of which, I should probably put more effort into it on my part).
