I recently changed the rooms that connect to each other, and I did it right with the cloning of the doors, I went and entered the doors and they all worked. I had to change the X/Y of the main landing site and since then whenever you start the game, it freezes. Is there more to cloning doors and moving the X/Y that I dont know? Ive read everything I can find, so any assistance is great. Thanks!

You really should use the SMILE help Thread.
Make sure your PLM's haven't changed....I've been having huge issues with having some rooms work right, and when I finish another room, the first room will have changed PLM numbers and causes the game to crash. This happens when you goto Edit>Special>Enemy/PLM (+/-). It even reminds to change it in the pointer data and not there....I guess that's why.

So check and see if that's why it's happening. That's about all I can think of. And when you say you start the game it freezes. What do you mean? Like when it loads you with your ship it freezes? Or when starting the file (when it goes to the map screen before it loads)and freezes when you hit "A" but keeps playing the Menu music?

Yes it freezes then, only when I start the game by loading IN the main room. I do not have any extra PLMs or enemies, and the pointer reads $8F  8000. And to other people (not you) who read the title and tell me to check the help thread, Ive already said that I have read everything, that includes the help thread. I wont ask a question that has a simple answer that can be found easily, I'll look for it first, THEN ask if I cannot find it

ALSO:
I found this, which seems to help, except I can't do it with version 2.00. If anyone can help, Im pretty sure this is what I need to do, I just dont know how:

If you change Crateria Mainstreet so that it no longer connects to the landing site room by changing door data, loads from the ship will cease to function normally. Here is how to fix this in SMILE 1.32 (it's a slightly different process in 1.23 and below because there's no shortcuts for getting the door data and room ID so you have to get them manually). Go to a room that leads to the landing site room. Put your mouse cursor over the specific door that leads to the landing site room and hit L. Next, stay in that room, and go to Edit>Area load stations in SMILE. In there, go to Crateria 00. There should be a Room ID button and a Door Data button under that. Hit the Room ID button and click "Use current room for this load point." Then go to Door Data button and click the option "From the last door tile you pressed 'L' over." Then click Save. This should fix it so that you can load from the ship again.
Maybe this will help. You can right-click the door transition block (the one with the numbers) and press "L". A load stations screen comes up. Make sure it does still say Crateria and "00" for the Index. The Room ID should read 91F8. Then click on the Room ID button and then click "Use Current Room for this Load Point".

The button below that says 896A should read the same value in the box as the button.

I haven't changed Crateria Mainstreet, so maybe these default settings will re-correct the problem.

Check and make sure that under the Game Behavior settings, that the Disabled Start is Ceres if it really is going to be skipped. Delete your .SRM data and re-open the rom. Sometimes my .SRM data for the rom screws up loading from the data and not a save state

Does this work with the newest version of smile?

Grrr, it loads now, but the background is all the 1st tile (PB door) and I am killed immediately by either lava or acid. I still cant open the area load station and use current room for the load point, does anybody know how to do this in version 2.00?
OMG FLAN!!!!!!!
I think Phazer meant that you should ask in the SMILE help thread instead of making a new topic.

Now that is wierd. If I were you I'd just start again with a clean ROM, and copy the mainstreet room over to the new ROM. If the problem is fixed, then you just overwrote something you shouldn't have. If it's still there, then the problem is a pointer in the room.

I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure through my many times of checking every single pointer in the ROM, there's no $8F 8000 PLM pointer. Don't take my word for it though.
Yea, I'm using SMILE v2.0, soooooo.....I have no idea what is wrong, but I guess you can always just fix the background by changing its pointer back to the default and looking to see what the FX1 pointer and values are set at. Or you can follow what Sadiztik said, unless you had a lot of stuff done with your rom. It's reasons like this that backups are critical.
Well I went back to my last patch, and didnt move the area of 91F8, which I am assuming is mainstreet. Its working for now, but if anybody can let me know how to, or send me a link, or anything else saying how to do the area load stations like mentioned above, that would be very helpful for future reference. SMILE help thread is no help

Thanks everybody!
