dude123, you have no idea what you're talking about, no offense.  Let me show you what I mean: Please click on the video DMantra posted on the third post down of page 21 of this thread.  This video has a ton of spoilers obviously, but you'll see what you need to.  Also check out the first post of page 21 of this thread.  Trust me, everything is there in these videos.  You'll see how easy it is to get out of the morph room from the bottom of the room and you'll also see how easy it is to exit the room in the first screenshot of this thread.  Please just watch those videos, they will help you immensely if you don't mind spoilers.  I'm sure you'll be embarrassed by your post after watching the videos but you'll see what to do.  Remember, most importantly, watch the videos and at least try to enjoy....
Come on guys can't you spot a troll when you see one. :D
Playing Super Metroid non-stop since 1994 =)

What'd you say?

Then why did he get 7?

I'm still wandering around aimlessly in this hack, I still hate suitless water segments, that is all.  Confused
Go ahead. Stare.

This is a very good hack. I am trying to get it to patch in and work... I REALLY WANT TO PLAY IT

Anyway, changing the subject, there are two ways to successfully patch an ips file:

1) Put the patch and the rom in the same folder, and make sure the rom and patch have the same name and you're good to go.  The rom can be Eris.smc and the patch can be Eris.ips, for example.

Or you can just do this

2) Download Lunar IPS.  Double click it and click on Apply IPS Patch.  Find the ips patch you want to use and click Open.  Now find the rom you want it patched to and click Open.  There, now you can play the hack, as it was successfully patched.

Note about the Eris ips patch: Make sure it's patched with a headered rom.  grin new
Armor Guardian
I just got the Plasma Beam (well placed!) and I haven't the slightest idea of where I need to go next. >_>
You can get all of the artifacts now, so head to The Sacred Grounds and visit the artifact collector.

Or, if you've already made it that far,
You're probably stuck because you can't get past the metal doors in The Bowels of Eris. They're a red herring; the actual route is elsewhere. Check the Ziobelian Swamp, which is the long horizontal corridor leading to The Last Report.

Thanks. I managed to finish the hack. Beautiful. If I were to describe it in one word, it would be "anti-Stardust."

7:53 89%

Final Totals: 14 E-tanks, 44 missiles, 27 SMs, 25 PBs (IIRC), No Reserves (?), No X-Ray (?)

Assuming the totals are 14/50/30/25, that would mean I'd be missing 6 expansions, so the other 5% would be the 4 reserve tanks and X-Ray (or is it just another 10 missiles?).

You can get the Plasma Beam without all the artifacts? Really?

(And how the heck do you have the map with area names already?)

Also, was the ability to preserve aerial momentum when landing from a spin jump in the original game? I can't remember. :/

No, it wasn't.

I would completely agree.  laugh new
Oh geeze, you're right; Plasma is unavailable until you have all four artifacts. Duh! Sorry 'bout that. I'm glad my other hint was more useful. :)
Dunno if this is caused by the fact that I'm still using the original version posted on release day, or the fact that I'm playing on my PSP's SNES emulator, but the control system has been going weird on me (particularly in the lower-left areas of the map, especially after going past the artifact guardian). It's as if buttons get randomly mapped to press other buttons, like aiming up when I'm not pressing that button, or turning me around when I'm running forward.

I don't think I read anyone else having this issue, but it's unique to Eris.
That has to be the emu you're using on your PSP.
It didn't seem like anyone else was reporting the same issues I was having, so I figured it was the emulator doing it. I'm wondering if anyone else in the minority of PSP-emu users were getting the same funky results.
108 more parts to upload.

While I'm posting, I can't seem to find Hi-Jump. Can I get it yet? My last items were
Spring Ball, Wave Beam,.....

You need the Ice Beam (sorta) to get the High Jump Boots, and (judging by your post) you have already had the necessary equipment to get the Ice Beam for quite a while (sorry, but I haven't watched the videos, so I don't know if you have it yet).

EDIT:
I just watched part 29. All I have to say is that you did not kill all of the Metroids in that room.

You'll have to go back
on a metroid hunt and kill ten of them

If you want the names of the areas it's in the bottom of my post.
btw, your videos are pretty cool.

Remaining 13 parts to come overnight....hopefully...

Bomb

14 Missiles (7 pods)
3 E-tanks
Grapple
Evasion
Armor Guardian
Your next stop is the creepy place with elevators.
What?!
Already been there pwuh only to find a 3rd rolling rock that won't move... Confused
Acclaimed Threshold
Constant Sorrows
You have the item you need to get past that boulder.
My button mapping issues were solved by continuing on a computer emulator, and using my PSP as a USB game pad. Will finish playing through soon!
