What'd you say?
After watching that video, I've noticed that getting on the ship kinda ruins the flow. Your supposed to be get escaping.  Wink

If your planning on making a second one (please do) could you maybe make the ship flush with the ground?  grin new

I'll try this a few more times then add my scores here. (Im not going to use savestates.)

I'll post a better review after my Savestate run, it's really fun so far.

What'd you say?
Well, I started at 9:19 but with pure skill/talent/practice and savestates I managed to knock it down to 4:14.

This mini hack is, IMO, one of the best out there. It is really enjoyable and it's challenging to decrease your time (look at attempt 4 and 5 in my previous post.) This also helps improve reflexes and even helped me mockball more efficiently.

This hack does have a few draw backs though. Some of the rooms don't flow as easily as they should (the start of the first escape sequence room, and the landing site room) but they don't really interfere with the game play. I feel there weren't enough distinct signs, for instance, a sign was tell me to take a sharp turn (sign with a horizontal u-turn symbol) although there wasn't a turn in sight, perhaps you should make more signs to display exactly what is going on.

Things to work on for the next hack, if there is another one (please make another!)
-Make more signs to display what is going on.
-Try to make the rooms flow a little easier. (Look at upper paragraph.)
-Perhaps add more routes like one for the experts, one for advanced and one for newbs. (Maybe even one for TAS?)
-And definitely make it longer, this hack was really fun but just when it started it was over.  Sad

Scoring:
Tiles/GFX: 8/10
Gameplay: 9/10
Replay value: 9/10

Overall score: 9/10

I'm really looking forward to your future work, keep it up.  grin new

Like my review?  Wink
A pretty cool and unique hack idea. I especially like the changed graphics to make the rooms look like a racing track.

Since it's a very short hack, and a TAS was requested, I decided to give it a shot:

Game completion is a 2:53, recorded in one day.

Enjoy!
Awesome! And so much for that supposed three-minute minimum. :)

One question -- there's that room where you're falling down and there's diagonal sloped ceilings. I think when you press into those ceilings you get pushed down faster than gravity would normally move you. Might that make things a smidge faster? I know this isn't necessarily an uber-optimized TAS; I'm more curious if I'm correct in that you can fall faster by pressing into those diagonal ceilings.
Theoretically they push you down faster than the gravity, though I don't know of any situations where intentionally aiming for them could be of benefit. After all you can just keep your jump lower to get the same effect.
Burrrp!
Wow, Good job! Applause
you deserve a trophy!
