Ok well then i could use some help here on this one, idk if i worded that right so let me explain. I'm at the part were i have to escourt the demolition troopers to the large door at the end to open it. Easier said then done however, not even a minute into the first area and i had 9/12 already. So i was wondering is thier any advice, tips, anything that won't drive me to get a AR? If so thank you. ^_^

Skyway acces is piece of cake if you have energy tanks and hazard shield.

This room is only hard your low-% runs. Surprise i beat this my first attempt in my Veteran 22% run. One helpfull thing is: If you avoid last coming enemys just like Craztad test run. This make low-% part bit easier.

I don,t sure talking you low-%. I think nobody can,t have any trouble beat skyway acces in any-%. This room is just easy if you use alot hyper mode.

Well i never found it too hard to keep everyone alive in this area in any difficulty. I don't know what difficulty you are attempting it on but you can watch my segment 28 to see a very heavy use of hypermode with all 12 surviving. Here is both parts of my segment 28 and the keep the soldiers alive part starts at around 5:30 in the first vid.

I finished with 7/12.  I feel kinda bad about it... on the other hand, it's not my fault that these morons race in after me.

Thanks everyone, i'm not doing a -% run and the diffculty is hypermode. I watched the videos and that should help, its going to be about 4 days until i try it again so i'm getting ready. ^_^

Orange pirates are much more likely to kill the troopers. If there are a lot of pirates coming, kill those first.  For example, in the section after the 2 crawltanks, there will be 2 green pirates blocking a passage with 2 orange pirates hiding behind them.  Just rush in and kill the oranges and chances are the greens will just stand there with their shields up.

Also, the bezerker knight and Commandos at the end can be ohko'd with nova/x-ray.

Hmmm never thought of that i'll have to try that. I already know to do that with the bezerker knight but when the pirates commandoes go into hypermode the X-ray visors disrupted meaning i can't OHKO them. I use hypermode to its full potentail but they killed the last trooper in the end. >_<

Oh now i see what your getting out, he's refering to the assualt troopers...its more of a yellow armor.

thats what i thought, because i cant think of anything in the game thats orange besides the varia and plasma beam/door.

keep us updated.  the only part of the game i ever failed at was the PH sheild tower generator thingy... the one with the comandos and a bunch of other things.  only time i ever died was in there

I'm happy to say that thanks to that vid up thier i mangaed to get about 10/12 troopers out of thier so thanks for the help guys. Now dark samus is my next challenge, i made a thread on the subject but its not thier anymore.....as if someone with amazing power deleted it.... laugh new

the thermal(?) (the other visor) makes the image colored.  the dark samus that is coloured, shoot.  this works best during the recharging thing and the spinning on the ground thing.

Well again it depends on which difficulty you are on. On normal and veteran i just turn on x-ray and blast the crap out of him. On hyper you gotta use a little bit of strategy. If you are on hyper i would say just watch paraxade's or kips 22% dark samus fight cause they do a very good job.

Here's kip's, it really helped me the first time I did this on hypermode. You'll notice that he attacks the pillars (for health) & the ds clones rather than ds, it's to keep ds from doing those really annoying team attacks. That's really all you need to beat it on hyper because the au fights are easy so long as you aren't nearly dead to begin with.
