There's a simpler method than the two Early Wrecked Ship Break-in methods described. Do the first Shinespark as shown in the lower alternate video, except trigger it before you go through the door. You'll sail to the right through the door, over the water and get the missile, then end up at the next (closed) door. Open this door but don't go through it, then walk to the left of the ledge as far as you can, then start a quick charge Shinespark. You'll run through the door to the right, then start flashing just before you fall off into the water on the right. Then you can walk left a bit, and trigger it to the right, ending up at the door to the Wrecked Ship.

One shall stand, one shall ball.
I do a variation of that every time I play, I charge the second Shinespark at the beginning Wrecked Ship entrance room instead of starting in the missile expansion room. I find it easier that way.
I like Big Butts and I can not lie
Yes, but this is a speed trick, and it's faster to do it the ways discribed in the videos (also I find the first video easier anyways)
Ahhh, I see the "Speed Tricks" heading now. Still, I've always liked to use it as a way to do things in a different order and alter difficulty.
One shall stand, one shall ball.

For some bizarre reason, I just can't pull either one of those off. Every time I attempt it I either lose my charge just before I Shinespark or accidentally do a vertical Spark. :|

Edit: I guess this could be called a far more complicated Early WS Break-in....

I tried an early Wrecked Ship (sequence) "break-in" right after I got the early power-bombs.  To get across the lake (without speed-boost or grapple) I horizontal Bomb jumped.  :P  I had one Energy Tank and One Reserve.  This took a lot of save state abuse - mostly for the Boss.  When it came time to get the Gravity Suit (with 100 Energy + a full Reserve tank) ....getting across that spiked pit...  I had 28 or 29 hits left.  Shocked

Needless to say; it was exciting! -IMO  Rolling Eyes

With Gravity you can skip the Varia, then you can (eventually) get Plasma early too.

I suppose to be more on topic(?) I should say...  I prefer starting the charge from inside the missle lake / upgrade room.  Sometimes I just don't have the feel for the short(er) charge.  And I've never got it to work the way that video shows.
Almost happy

But it is useless both for a low% and a any% speedrun. (since you need 6 E-tanks for MB without it) It also seems pretty useless in whole because you can skip both suits if you just put enough effort into it.
Good support it, I believe that it(he,she) is better in fewer %  8-)
