Just a small question about the shinespark, but in SM doing the spark drains Samus's energy, but if she reaches 1 energy during the spark, will she die or will her energy stay at 1?

She stops sparking at 1.
That could be a wrench, since the SS is needed a lot in Maridia. I suppose the Crystal Flash could restore lost energy though.

I think she stops at 29, though I'm not sure. I've gotten stuck in areas because I didn't have enough total energy to spark out of a needed area.
She stops when she reaches 29 health, in the same way she would if she hits a wall (stopping, hanging still in the air for a bit then sends out echoes)
I see. When the spark stops, assuming she's doing a horizontal spark, will she just drop or will the momentum carry her forward a little?
She acts as though she hits a wall. She loses all momentum.

It doesn't consider how much she has in reserve, either. It will still stop Samus (and IIRC, it refills her as she stops). This is partly why people tend to manually refill their energy from the reserves so often.
Well the reserves only activate automatically when Samus's health reaches 0, since she stops at 29 when shinesparking, they don't activate.

It doesn't send out the echoes unless she actually hits something, if you stop because you run out of energy it just stops, no echoes.

No, I've used that fairly often. Even if you start out with 1 energy, a super jump will always shoot off echoes when Samus stops.
OK then. When I get my emu up and running again, after the Murder Beam fried it to hell, I'll see it for myself. As for the Murder Beam incident, don't ask. It hurts.
