Ok. I need help. I have beaten SM 2 times, but that was years ago. I am a massive Metroid fan, I have beaten all the games, most with 100% stuff, but not SM.

It seems to be the best game out there, but I need some help here:

What is "Gauntlet Entry" in the Speed Tricks? What is behind that door?

How do I infinite bomb jump? I can't seem to figure it out, I could do it on MZM, but not this game...

What is the Murder Beam? It seems to be all the beams activated at once, but how do you do that?

What is the Murder Bomb?

What is the Space/Time Beam?

Question Thanks in advance. This would really help. I encourage you to AIM me.
Thread title:
lol no way
The Gauntlet is a "hidden" area above the first horizontal Craterian shaft... there's a series of passageways that contain a few items, but it's kind of a trial to get through them.

That's all I really... feel like answering, I don't know enough about the murder beam/space/time beam to be able to answer those, and I always thought murder bombs were a joke, but maybe I just don't know anything.

Edit: And for IBJ'ing, lay a bomb, then right as/before is goes off, lay another... then just lay them like right on top of eachother and you'll slowly gain height. You can do it in the double bombjump sense, where you lay one at the peak of the first bomb's bounce... but it's much harder. Just go with normal easy IBJ'ing, it should do you okay.
Oh. So it's just like MZM. I thought it was alot harder, like in the intro scene...
Murder Beam: Charge Ice/wave/plasma and switch to spazer highlight Speed Booster then press left+a at the exact same time, you will equip all 5 beams at once.  Fire it at a solid object that wave cannot pass through such as MB's head

Murder Bombs: Bomb spread with the murder beam charge

Space/Time: Using Murder Beam to reset game possible on console at the top of the Old Tourain escape shaft fire at the door (uncharged) then fire right and walk through the door all items will be reset.  Emulator do the same thing but at the entrance to the Wrecked Ship area right after the moat.

And beware that this should be done at point blank range, or the game will crash. And IIRC preferably from the right (shooting left).

Murder Bombs, and MJ's glitch finding credibilty isn't really top notch.

Space/Time beam, if used at the right place, allows the player to reset all game flags, all bosses are alive again, and all Missiles/Super Missiles/Power Bombs/Energy tanks are collectable again.
One more question. What is the trick to Wall Jumping in SM? I can do it in all the other games, but in this game, there's just something different. I have to press A twice to get her to kick off, or do I have to wait for that sprite that shows her mounted on the wall? Can someone give me a complete explanation on this?
jump against a wall then press away from the wall and then jump like almost instantly after and press away from the wall
Jump into a wall, while facing the wall, press out of the wall and right after, press jump.
Embarrasing Fact: Power suit made by lowest bidder
>_>...
Murder beam is all five beams together. Fire a charged shot left, but *not* while spin jumping. And do NOT fire uncharged shots. It doesn't matter what you hit with it. It'll basically make a pillar that consistently does damage to anything that touches it.
The damage type is charged powerbombs. Don't ask, it doesn't make sense. For most purposes you can consider it a normal charge beam. The damage it does isn't *very* impressive, it's about the same as firing missiles non-stop, but super missiles or charged ice/plasma/wave can do damage faster. It's still useful, though, because it has a large area of effect (and you can make it full-screen on respawning enemies), and it doesn't require Samus to actively fire it. Murder beams eat up a projectile slot, however; Samus can only fire up to 5 projectiles at once. You can disable Murder beams by using a charge beam + powerbomb attack. Go coincidences.

Murder bombs is... erm... triggering the space/time beam with bombs.
There is no such thing as Murder bombs... the person who posted it just didn't know what he was doing.

Space/time beam is ice, spazer, and plasma. No wave beam. Firing a single space/time beam is safe, but be careful because it will normally fire rapid-fire. A safe way to fire a single shot is to hold down the fire button, so Samus shoots once and begins charging, then switch to missiles.
The space/time beam leaves a block that will damage any enemies that walk into it, with the same damage type as bombs. It's rarely used as a weapon, though.
After firing the space/time beam, any additional projectiles will trigger it. This includes more space/time beams and bombs, but doesn't include the grapple beam. This makes opening doors after firing a space/time beam a bit difficult if you don't have grapple. >_>
Triggering the space/time beam causes all sorts of havoc in the game. Depending on where you do it, you can freeze the game, cause a random room transition, get stuck in invisible walls, or you can even 'reset' the game, basically making it possible to repeat everything in the game. Saving and reloading the game may even take you back to Ceres. There are numerous other quirks about it too, not going to try and explain it here. Just know that it's tremendously glitchy.
I need a better explanation of how to get the Murder Beam to work, I can't do it, I can't seem to do the GGG, I also can't do..umm...what was it....uhh......whatever. I think that's it.
I'll be back. Maybe...
To work the murder beam, get right of whatever you want to destroy (best used on Ridley, Gold Torizo, or MB), face left, charge your beam, and when it is fully charged, open the map without releasing Fire until it has appeared. Then switch to the item switch, switch on all beams except the Plasma, highlight the speed booster, and press Left+A. If it worked, a "*VAR" will appear next to the Plasma Beam. Then close the menu, holding down Fire again, and release it. An orange-yellow charge-ish beam will appear and hover. Sprites will begin to disappear. Now, open up the item switch and switch the Spazer back off.

BTW, why does Gold Torizo freeze when Murder Beam'd?
Haha, I got it (the Murder Beam)  to work. It made my game freeze though. This opens up a world of possibilities....:D
Ok, I can get the Murder Beam to work, but when I fire it regularly, it freezes and everything dissapears except lava.

Uhhh...also...I can't get the Mutha Brain thing to work....oh well?

Help on how to use it properly and to my advantage.
Charge your beam, activate murder beam, deactivate murder beam, sit around and wait for the monster to die.
everybody knows it's true

Now, you wouldn't want to die after managing the beam, now do you?
You could always pick up a couple of energy tanks.
everybody knows it's true
Yes, but what if you're doing a low percent?
Then you wont have all the beams.
everybody knows it's true
Meh, I'm stopping now. You win.
