It's not slippery. You can only stand on its blue barrier, which isn't too hard to land on. The problem is, even if you freeze the rezbit with its barrier out via charged dark beam, the barrier still disappears like normally.
In other words, (I don't know how long its barrier lasts, but let's say 5 seconds) if the rezbit takes out its barrier and you freeze it after 3 seconds, even though the barrier is visible while it's frozen, you only have 2 seconds left to stand on it before you just fall off.
I don't know if you can stand on its barrier in the trilogy verison.
You can stand on the barrier, and I managed a jump, but not a space jump. So, the reactor core tank early might be possible. I just have to practice... a lot! >.>
I'm sorry to double post again, but guys, I need help! Let's find all the secrets we can in the Trilogy! :) It'll be fun and there's probably more secrets than you know. "There's always another secret..." - Kelsier, Mistborn. :D
Sasuke: I looked at the early item videos and I wouldn't call them early items, just fast items. I did the Missile Expansion in the Warrior's... place in Sanctuary using that same technique, but it's not an early item because you have the item required to get it.
However, I will list them here as "fast items," because they skip the long parts of getting those expansions. :) I'll also look at the SWs as well later.
I found a way to skip the missile boss in Metroid Prime, I'm going to make a mini compilation video with a few tricks at the start of the game, so that will be in it.
its really quite easy to tell its fake, the whole "jumping twice" thing helps give it away <_<. All he did was tab B let go of Z and tab B again. I mean really, what the hell would spinning accomplish, other than making it harder (but not impossible) to see the second jump?
[3BJ (Triple Bomb Jump)] How-to: Lay a bomb, and as soon as it explodes lay three bombs quickly to get a boost up. Notes: Yes, this still works in the Trilogy.
No it does not. Only one bomb mid-air will affect Samus' movement throughout the environment. 3 bombs will give you the same as a DBJ. Also if my memory doesn't fail me, MonsterERB claimed to have done SJF on Trilogy. I would trust monster with my life
gu3st, dragoon12345 and metroidfan001 are afaik the only three people who have claimed to do have done sjf. metroidfan001 has been confirmed to have cheated and i highly doubt the other two knew what a freez dash was which is necessary to do the trick.
that said, i do actually believe it's possible, just requires an insanely hard freez dash.
I'd like to believe its possible, but I don't believe anyone has done it.
Also 3BJs don't really work in Trilogy the same way they do on GC. On Trilogy you need to do a normal DBJ then spring ball as the first bomb in the actual jump goes off (yes, it does give more height). On GC 3BJs give a lot more height than 2BJs. The HOTE BJ and Control Tower BJ can only be done with a 3BJ (or something that gives even more height, like a HBJ).
Huh. I didn't know that about the 3BJ in Trilogy. I'll fix that.
Sorry I've been kinda lazy, I've been playing Muramasa - The Demon Blade and Skyrim instead of the Trilogy (well I still play the Trilogy), so I haven't been experimenting.
I really appreciate your help, guys. :) Keep it coming!
Since Trilogy doesn't work on Dolphin I got myself the Japanese Wii version of Prime and I'll try TASing Space Jump First once I play through the frigate.
