Is it worth attacking enemies with the screw attack?  how powerful is it compared to the power beam, plasma beam, hyper mode phazon beam?  I remember in the 2D metroids you could tear right through any enemy with it.

Speedrunner
It is best way beat Gandrayda boss fight.

Better than hyper beam against gandrayda.
Screw attack is bit random, depine lot how good hit you can get.

Overall hyper/phazon beam is much better than screw attack.
I think one thing they kinda screwed up on (pun intended) was not letting you turn more when screw attacking.  It would be nice to be able to control the screw attack just like the morphball, being able to turn fully left and right.
OH ****!!!!
Then that would require the space jump which you don't have.
Bananas GOOD, Kremlings BAD
It's easier to shoot multiple enemies from one point than it is to screw attack from enemy to enemy.  Normal enemies don't take that much to kill anyway.
Metroid Prime, what else?
the change from 2D to 3D made the screw attack a lot less useful :/
Retro should have made it more maneuverable and powerful, so it's at least close to the 2D screw attack.  As it is, it's just basically 5 additional spinning jumps..

You have the Space Jump for the entire game in Corruption. It's just not the same as the 2D Space Jump.

Oh yeah i forgot but you knew where i was going with that right? :-D
plasma beam v.2.0
but a fully controlable SA on the wii would take WAAAYYYYYYYY too long to get close to mastering.
btw, i just reallized that mp3 is missing powerbombs. wow, ive had it for.......6 months.

Just add tilt–control!
OH ****!!!!
It wouldn't be that bad, it would make more use of the wii's verstatile controls.

Making use of controls just because they're there doesn't make a game better.
Metroid Prime, what else?
letting you using controllable SA would have opened soooo much doors... sequence breaking doors^^
just see how in mp2 SA lets you access SWs (weird sentence)
well, all of mp2's SWs need SA^^
plasma beam v.2.0
not all.  most.  theres the tree in TAS... stupid root. and rock.  and SW.  and skywalk being the only exit out of the SW.  Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad but mp3c seem too well layered, not much can be done to get into SW.  most involve going over the map, or forced through.

it is to well layered, its maps are as hard as diamond XD
plasma beam v.2.0
only harder.  btw, i aplied the idea for the PH SW in skyway whatever to the mp2 darkvisor/seekerlock missle bridge.  almost worked then i fell down in morphball.  maybe someone can get it.

the SA might not be as versatile as in the 2D games but it is still deadly.

just ask Emperor ing 3 and Dark samus 3/4

If thats true then why did nintendo make the wii in the first place then?
red chamber dream
To give the option of making that games that rely on its controls and use them for good.

motion controls are good if they are implemented in games that are designed for them from the ground up.

what is bad is forcing those controls on games that were designed for standard controllers (main reason why i got the GC version of TP later).

the opposite is true. Wii Sports and wii play would be extremely bad/boring with regular controllers.

The Wii version is worth it simply for the fantastic Bow aiming.

Speaking of TP - after playing MP Corruption for months, TP is very difficult to look at...

That's because it's a GameCube game, whereas Corruption is not.

true dat. Wii TP and GC TP look exactly the same. only difference is widescreen support.

MP3 looks better than the first 2. i noticed when i played mp1 again and noticed how bad the arm cannon looked in comparison (not much but it's noticeable. the mp1 one looks dirty and lacks shine) and the lightning is apparent in how it improves the settings (mp1 looked plain). better textures are noticeable but mostly up-close and if you really look into that. more time to work on graphics helped.

also, i take better sword control over aiming any day of the week. i was already good enough with the old aiming controls that the new ones aren't that big of an improvement (but in GC TP, aiming feels rigged compared to OoT, MM and TWW. some sabotage perhaps?)
