Head line in the G-Fed newsletter: Players to Samus: "Shut the flickerbat up and stop staring at us"
I wonder if thety are trying to regain the mainstream audience they lost when Prime 2 went up against halo, and also push their game to show off its diferences (can't think of a better word but I know there is one). Aside from the eyes n the scan visor data, look at the lower corners. There are little metroid models. Why? To remind people its a METROID game? Its like they are trying to say "Hey! We are a serious real fps, but we are difent from halo cause we have a CHICK and SPACE JELLYFISH!"
I'm with Arkarian, the original Samus concept was a winner cause it could have been ANYONE under the armor, even the player if they wanted it. Even after we knew who Samus was that feeling remained, espcially in Prime. Ithought the eyes reflected in the blast was cool, I never minded the grunt when you took a major hit, as it was reserved for the times she would be really sent flying, like getting slamed by a vine tentacle thingy. I knew at a high level who was in the suit, but i still felt like it was actually me at a more base level, which is hard to explain but I hope someone smarter than me will get it.
