I doubt my reflexes are any worse now than they were 20 years ago. I've always had lousy eye-hand coordination. But while I still have the stubbornness to keep trying things until I get them (up to a point, which is why I'm resigned to 99% completion of this game), I don't have the free time that I used to and what time I do have has to be apportioned among all my hobbies and interests. But I wouldn't characterize that as lack of patience. The impatience that results in code use seems more characteristic of youth to me.
Personally I'd take the 99% that I got by myself over 100% with codes, but that's just me.
