There isnt an offical release date yet but do we know when it well be out by?
Thread title:
l'appel du vide
By the end of this year.  Amazing what a second of thought can accomplish.
Time bomb set get out fast!
Or two seconds of Googling.  According to the Wikipedia page (which tends to correct itself quickly), Prime 3 lands in Q2 2007 -- springtime, in other words.

Meanwhile, Battle Network fans have to wait till Q4 2007 for the English translation of the series' next generation... even though it's out now in Japan.  Man, if it takes this long, it had better be a good translation.
So they finished actually devolping the game, now it is just translation?

Good god. Translation does take forever these days...
Translating from English to... English?

Oh!

Translating from Texan to English!

Gotcha!

(Seriously:  It's still in dev.)
Hopefully MP3 will have online multiplayer.
and I hope Q2 will be true.

skunkobot: What the flickerbat are you talking about? Zeke already said the next Battle Network games have been released in Japan, which means they are not in development anymore-- they're just being translated from Japanese to English.

I think you mean Corruption, though, in which case you're completely off base, as no one anywhere has stated that Corruption is "just being translated" at this point. Of course it's still in development; it's got a good 'nother four months till release.

Banjonator: I have a feeling we'll definitely see Corruption Q2. Normal games (i.e. not Zelda) get delayed once at most.
So you're saying that BLIZZARD games aren't normal either huh? Wink (I'm still upset that Ghost was cancelled. I was actually looking forward to it.)
Well, I never really expected them to finish SC:Ghost.  I mean, the game's been in development for what, 7 or 8 years now?

Anyway, Q2 for MP3 is fine enough by me, as long as they're using the time to make the game better.  And besides, I may have a Wii by then, so here's to hoping.
I was under the impression that Prime killer thought that Prime 3 was being translated.

My usual snark ensued.
My (slightly educated) guess is that we should know about 3 months in advance.  If Mills' date is correct, that would put the announcement at the end of February.  Definately by 2 months in advance (end of March).

Slight evidence for this:  At the end of 06, Q1 07 titles were dated.  Also, Super Paper Mario for Wii was just recently unvieled in Nintendo Power, with a release date in mid-April.

Translating English -> French/German/Spanish/Italian seems to be faster than Japanese -> English.  Dunno why.
I'd guess less cultural differences.
my umbrella goes directly to Bankai
but don't Prime games come out in english first? and in America first especially?

remember that japanese Metroid fans had to wait 6 months for mp2 while everyone else got it for christmas 2004. for mp1, only america got it in 2002.

sometimes they release games when they feel like releasing them and that's it. no translation issues and shit. how come everyone except America got Wii play last year and we have to wait still 3 more weeks?
Well yeah, the Prime series are here first.

I think we were just speaking about localizations in general.
Prime games are more popular in the US than in Japan. That's why!

Um...ya'll know that the Prime games are made in, ya know, Texas...yes?
according to http://www.retrostudios.com/

Yes ... that's what everyone in the topic has been implying so far: that they're made in America.

I was hoping so...

But I got the impression that...

...seemed to be saying that they come out here first because...they're popular...or something.

And Piccolo...

Ready and willing.
Yeah very early on we got into something about translation but not related to Prime, so we had this big discussion where somebody thought it was Prime translation but it wasn't and then we talked about how it wasn't Prime translation and how people got confused and then you got confused so we have this discussion about the discussion.
Uh... want to run that by me again?

I still remember everybody's first reaction to hearing that Retro, an AMERICAN conpany with virtually no experience in the industry, was making the 1st 3D Metroid game, and in First Person to top it all off... And now we can hardly think of it being any other way.

Delete me please.

(I didn't realize I couldn't do that on my own...)

Well...as long as your post is the last one of the thread, you can delete it...so if you deleted your last message, the post I'm replying to (i.e., the one you wanted to delete) would have been open...for...like...deletion.  Yeah.

Unfortunately, I just made a post.  And I'm not going to delete it.  Because...well...then you wouldn't be able to read this.  So, actually...here's what we should do...reply and tell me you understand what I'm saying, and then I'll reply saying that I understand that you understand...  Then...I'll delete that post, you delete the post you're about to post, I'll delete this post, and then you can delete the above two posts and start over.
But... how will I know that you've read my post saying that I read your post?

I guess you'll have to post.

And I'll have to post telling you that I saw your post.

Which means you'll have to post acknowledging my post, but then I'll have to let you know what going on and... *head asplodes*

(Joking aside, thanks for the info... I'm sure the board can survive with a few extraneous posts.)
