I stupidly messed up trying to get behind him while he was walking backward from my Plasma shot (I stupidly held the shoot button down, so I couldn't morph).

a girl holding the world record in a metriod game? seriusly, what are the odds of that? (no offence, it just happens to be that guys tend to play alot more then girls.i just think it's humourus. ^^)

gaming chicks = rare and worshipped.

Btw, Scarlet,  i just noticed something fairly interesting in you'r run.

in the room with water and a missile tank on a pillar in the middle (where u shinespark over into the wrecked ship), u charged, ran into the room, and just before shinesparking over, u fired a super missile. HOW THE HELL CAN YOU BE SO FAST? i tried to fire that damnable supermissile atleast 20 times before i gave up and did it the easy way, cuz the missile just kept on going out of the screen and dissapearing. (tried with normal missiles too....-20 missiles yay)

my question being, how can you time that so perfectly? it's pretty much impossible!

You have to hit jump + shoot at the same time, and then almost immediately after (but not at the same time), tap right on the d-pad.  If the Super sticks out of the black box when you get the missile just like in the video, you got it.

Anywhere else to the left or right, and the Super will either go off the screen and you will smack the door, or you will smack the door while it is still opening.

I think I got it to work 1 time with the Super in a different position, but I can't remember where the position was.

It's really tricky to do; I think my success rate was eventually about 1 in 6.

I also did the same thing in part 2, after passing the glass tube in Maridia, to the left.  Which was uber lucky.

yeah, i sat through probably twenty or more failed attempts to do that trick when she sent me the 0:55 tapes. don't sweat it; it's a tough one.
